SEMADEP SAFARI CAMP, hotel in Sekenani

Situated in Sekenani in the Narok region, SEMADEP SAFARI CAMP has a balcony and mountain views. This bed and breakfast features a terrace as well as a bar.

Amazing friendly people! Delicious food (we had the all-inclusive option and breakfast, lunch and Dinner was very well cooked and delicious). Super clean und comfortable tents and cabins. It is a community based project; eg children profit from the generated income. It is located only 5 minutes away from Sekenani Gate. Therefore it is perfectly suited to stay here for 2/3 nights and to do a game drive to Maasai Mara (160$ per car). Please note to bring enough cash to pay the entrance fee of 100 or 200$/person to the Maasai Mara (credit card usually does not work). We booked the game drive with Semadep Safari Camp and we had an amazing game drive day with Dennis (guide) and Jhon (Driver). Both of them are so wonderful people and showed us so many animals. We had our Breakfast and lunch during the safari since we left 5:45. Both was very well prepared from Semadep chef.

Tayari Luxury Tented Camp - Mara, hotel in Sekenani

Located in Sekenani in the Narok region, Tayari Luxury Tented Camp - Mara has a garden. There is an on-site restaurant, plus free private parking and free WiFi are available.

The property is outside the National Park. It’s conveniently located but I had booked two tents for 4 people. During check out, I was told that the price is only for two adults and they charged me 100$ for two people which burnt a hole in my pocket during the trip. I showed them my reservation from Booking.com which said 4 guest but they didn’t allow me to check out without paying the amount. The property only has wifi at the reception so I couldn’t not even contact Booking.com. The tents were very basic so paying 100$ extra for two people was really stressful. During check out I had asked the staff to check the details but they didn’t tell me anything during check in. The property allowed four people to check in when they had reservations only for 2 people, wow!!!!!! I will neither book this property again nor recommend it to anyone else.

Leruk Maasai Mara Camp, hotel in Sekenani

Situated in Sekenani, Leruk Maasai Mara Camp features air-conditioned accommodation with a balcony and free WiFi. The property has mountain and inner courtyard views.

“We had the great pleasure of staying at the Leruk Masai Mara Camp, and it was truly an authentic safari experience! The camp is located right in a Masai village, providing a unique insight into the modern-day Masai culture. The accommodation consists of a single large tent with an integrated bathroom – simple yet equipped with everything you need, including electricity and hot running water. The food was basic but delicious, and the friendliness of the staff, especially the night watchman who also prepared a cozy campfire in the evenings, made our stay truly special. The camp offers a genuine bush feeling and allows you to experience nature up close. A highlight of our trip was the spectacular safari, led by the highly knowledgeable guides John and Jacob, whose expertise greatly enhanced our experience. A two-day safari is highly recommended to explore the different habitats of the animals in the Masai Mara. The nature walk was also a fantastic experience, bringing us even closer to the beauty of the surroundings. However, a visit to a Masai village is mainly worth it for souvenir enthusiasts. Overall, a fantastic experience for anyone looking for an authentic safari off the beaten path. We would love to come back!
