Swiss Lenana Mount Hotel, hotel in Nairobi

Situated in the Kilimani in Nairobi, Swiss Lenana Mount features an outdoor pool, a fitness centre and free WiFi throughout. Free private parking is available on site.

The whole experience was excellent. Room, dining room, breakfast or dinner, bar overlooking the front, rooftop sunbathing, staff excellent, location excellent. I must mention restaurant manager Ruth and front gate man Nixon as stand out. Professional, helpful and courteous in the extreme. Nixon organised and brought my newspapers to my room before 7am every morning. Great with my morning tea. I liked that the hotel has conference people in it on a regular basis - this gives the true impression of business development in Kenya.

I enjoyed my visit to Nairobi!

I enjoyed my visit to Nairobi! The people were very friendly and gracious. I enjoyed the day tours that I found from my hotel, the driver, Shamp was excellent. He drove carefully, was friendly, and very manner-able. I enjoyed the Nairobi Museum, Snake Park, Elephant Orphanage, Giraffe Center, Bombass Show, and the Kobe Bead Factory.

Nairobi is a great city to visit and I would love to visit...

Nairobi is a great city to visit and I would love to visit again, but then, a few days in Mombasa would be very necessary. Constant power supply, serene environment, good and quality road networks, internet services and relatively cold weather are a good combination that is perfect for visitors like me on a vacation. Nairobi and Kenya as a whole drive right-hand vehicles, unlike my country, Nigeria that drives left-hand. I made sure to look both sides before crossing the highways... Generally, Kenyans are so friendly, except a few and the Nigerians we met were quick to receive us as brothers. I really can't thank them enough.

    > The city is an idea mix of nature and commercial / concrete structures. > One thing that I could notice right after leaving the airport was the toxic air quality. I started observing that my throat had some kind of fumes or air struck inside, possibly due to the extreme levels of pollution that exists everywhere > Like any other major metropolis, traffic is massive, with unruly driving & chaotic congestions. > English is the standard form of communication all over the city, with sign boards, prints all in English. Plus the people are quite well-versed in English. > Most of the people we met (Uber drivers, shop managers, restaurant servers, security guards etc.) were uptight, unfriendly to a certain extent & did not come out as welcoming. > The other surprising aspect about these handful of people I met was they were keen to double-cross you in terms of money. From charging you extra money on cab rides to not returning back change that they owed you, it seemed the money was the only concern in their mind, as soon as they saw a tourist. > In some instances, the Uber drivers knowingly took wrong turns or missed out on exits, just so that their ride fare gets increased and I end up paying more. Some even duped me in taking the expressway to shorten the travel time, while ended up reaching the destination at the same time as it would have been without the expressway toll. Niarobi is a preferred destination and a highly acclaimed city with pleasant weather and friendly people which you experience right from your landing at JKIA. One cannot complete an African experience without visit to Kenya. Visit the parks right in the heart of Nairobi and its environs; venture into the lush forests around the clean streets; and enjoy culutral diversity at shopping malls and village market. Be there; experience first hand the flora and fauna; the beauty of Nairobi and beyond!

The city of Nairobi is a great place for shopping for African art and contemporary art. However it is very crowded. The traffic system is not well controlled. I found there were no rules for driving .It was first come first served, However I found the uber drivers were great at getting to places without getting caught up in traffic. I'm not a night life person but I felt that everyone can get what they like. i.e peace and quiet or wild fun. Unfortunately I was there during the riots and that did put a damper in my holiday. Besides that its a nice and safe place to visit.
