I loved the fact that the cabin where we stayed was very spacious. Clean bathroom and overall clean room. Relatively close to the Miyanoura port and close to activities on that side of island. The property had plenty of parking spaces. The wonders seem really sweet.

Deep in nature, right next to a river that you overlook from the bed room. Fitting for 4~6 people, very well equipped kitchen, homely feel in a very clean mountain cottage. The owner lives next door and even gave us a try in their Goemon bath which is a traditional Japanese bath heated by wood.
The drive up to the cottage is also amazing, it is a good 30 minute drive to the closest town but when in Yakushima, it’s an experience to stay in the mountain.
No problem with the Wifi, there is no service though so phone calls should be made before coming up the mountain.
Recommend to check in before the sunset.
