Very well equipped house that provided a good base for going to the Adachi Museum.
It provided everything that you could want for your stay whether you were eating out or staying in including laundry facilities.
Would definitely stay here again if we ever return.

It felt privileged to stay at this temple lodging. Being located amidst the the temple buildings it was very atmospheric and serene. The staff were super friendly (even with limited English we still communicated well). They helped me make a last minute zen meditation session booking for which I was very grateful. Food was delicious. Shuttle service from the train station was necessary without own transport. They also offered a shuttle to a local famous art museum and garden.

A truly beautiful place to stay. The food was beyond anything that we had hoped for. The owners were very lovely and helpful. You are so close to the amazing temple that you can explore it with no one else around

We loved staying in the mountains next to Kiyomizudera where we could see the pagoda from our room and beautiful green forest with ancient trees. We enjoyed walking around the temple area and saw some wild boar. It is a peaceful, quiet and tranquil place to stay after spending time in big cities. The owner will pick you up and take you to the station in their bus free of charge if you contact them in advance. They also took us to the Adachi Art Museum and back free of charge. It was a very special place to stay. The breakfast and dinner were included and very generous with lots of local specialities.
