I got a room with a castle view (it's great value), but I also used the viewing deck on the top of the hotel - both had excellent views. The castle itself is a short walk away, as are the city trams.

The staff were friendly and helpful, the rooms were very clean and comfortable and the breakfast was delicious. Great location as it was right in the heart of downtown Kumamoto so it was easy to walk around, take public transit and close to rental car locations. Would definitely stay again, thank you!

Excellent service, rooms and bathrooms were pretty roomy for japan standards (i was able to comfortably exist and go through luggage w 2 of us). Tons of complimentary amenities, free drink for happy hour each day, and a surprisingly good breakfast buffet! 👌 Also super convenient area, unlimited options around and walking distance to the caste.
