It was the most beautiful ‘hostel’ I have ever stayed in! Impeccably clean, sweet decor (small flower arrangements outside of each room) and a common kitchen that even serves draft beer!
My room was a beautiful small tatami room with a lovely alcove too.
The owner is so very welcoming and let me store my luggage for a while after check out.

Being walking distance from Kyoto Station is the biggest positive for people comming off the bullet train. Staff was extremely nice, the rooms were very clean, and it was super affordable. I highly recommend this hotel, and would be staying here again if available in the future.

The owner was very helpful and was able to fulfil all our requirement, I like the 24hr hot tea/coffee machine, During our last day, the owner was able to quickly change a washing machine to allow us to quickly do a proper wash before a grand public event, This was the best inn I stayed in Uji and will come back again in future. We appreciate his permission to allow us to hold our luggage before we left Kyoto.
