Everything about this place is wonderful - the hosts are such kind people, the house itself is really beautiful and interesting, with breathtaking views. An extra special touch was when the hosts made us a local hot pot banquet on the last night! The area is very beautiful with lots of walks and things to see. The private onsen in the house with views of the lake was wonderful after a day of exploring.

the staff was very nice, but it took some time before they found my (just made) reservation. big rooms, large cupboard with yukatas to choose from. they have a free transfer to the station three times in the morning. room is large. i normally dont like buffets, but the evening buffet was really good. free ice after onsen.

It is not a studio, but a larger facility that was mainly empty, maybe used in winter. But we enjoyed the hot bath and having shelter in the midst of the wood. Walking up the mountain we had a gorgeous view over the region - in the distance lake Tazawa. That was worth it!
