We stayed 5 nights, we are 3 so we took a futon room for 3
It's an expensive area but it's a bit pricey (23kyen/night) for a room with no bathroom and just 2 chairs for 3. Only the tv with Chromecast was nice to have! The shared onsen was not busy, it was rather dated, basic and small but clean and functional.

Beautiful and quiet stay! We were able to drop off our luggage early and enjoy the day around Hakone. The owner provided us with pdf documents of how the house works, things to do in the surrounding area and how to get there. It was extremely helpful. The private outdoor onsen was an amazing feeling. Place was clean. Washing machine (no dryer) worked well and a drying rack was provided to hang the clothes.
Will def want to come here again!
