I'm a huge Gegege no Kitaro fan and love Yokai in general, so to me this place is wonderful (I even stayed an extra night). However if you aren't a fan, you might find it a bit perplexing as all the town's attractions are based on this theme. A definite must for anyone who is interested in Mizuki Shigeru's work, otherwise you'll probably find nearby Matsue or Izamo Taisha a better option.
