Good value budget hotel. Close to Hashimoto train station with good amount of eateries
and shopping. There aren't many other hotels in neighborhood so this was chosen by default.

Location had several nice restaurants within a few mins walk. 5 min walk to train station. 10 min walk to some major shopping areas and food courts.
The staff were always pleasant, a few spoke English well enough. Just an overall nice place to stay, especially with the cost.

The cost performance is great. It's not expensive and not a luxurious hotel, but it's very clean, neat, and comfortable. Cheap hotel in Japan usually don't have bathroom in the room, but offers a Japanese style onsen (communal bathroom). As in all Toyoko Inn hotels I had been before, even before using Booking.com, we have a bathtub and a shower in our rooms. Again, not spacious, but decent enough and crisp clean. The toilet and the bathtub is in the same room, the same as in typical 1 room apartment in Japan. Some people don't like this, but I don't mind at all.
I also like having breakfast included in the hotel rate. It's a small breakfast buffet, but yes, it's all you can eat. Japanese/ Asian style breakfast is the main offering, with some bread and salad on the side.
I like that the sleeping clothes are also provided (as most budget/ cheap hotel do not provide) and sterilized under UV lamp. The amenities are also provided, so I didn't bring any soap, shampoo, facial cleanser, etc. I am fine with hotel amenities product and rarely bring my own.
The bed is bigger than single bed, most probably it's a semi-double bed. So you can roll around.
In Winter, knowing how dry Japanese Winter is, I was glad to see that a humidifier is provided in the room.
The last but not the least, an adult and a child can share a single room together without extra fees. No extra bed, but the bed is certainly big enough for and adult and a child. And yes, the child also get a free breakfast.

Our stay was excellent for me, location is near to public transportation (train) good restaurants are walkable and convinient stores too. The entire hotel is clean and offers good, delicious breakfast. Room was clean. Comfort room is kinda small but clean.
Everything is excellent for me except the bed and pillows are not so soft.. because I was expecting a very soft pillows and bed but aside from that I enjoyed staying there. Staffs are so accommodating and very helpful too. I definitely recommend this hotel and surely I will come back here in my future vacation in Japan.

The bathroom was stinking.
The bathroom was stinking. The room carpet was old and dirty. The WIFI connectivity was bad.
The morning breakfast was too scanty (less options). And most of the things kept finishing in the tray and had to wait for the refill. The neighboring Toyoko Inn is a few hundred yen more but surely worth staying there.

Great for kids that love trains cos the hotel is right next to the rail tracks. My son loved the room so much cos he could see the trains passing all the time. Even the dinning hall has a view of trains. Location is so good, good for both public and private transport. There’s a parking log too.
It's a very good business hotel. The bed are comfortable, and the room are clean. I also appreciated the large public bath. It is nice to relax after a day of work. Last, the hotel is nearby the station (5min walk).
