Wow! I'm always looking for unique, one-of-a-kind stays and this one made for a stunning experience. Kind owner, gorgeous views, fresh mountain air mixed with the scent of tatami, super spacious interior that made me feel right at home. If you're looking for a sterile, bland apartment rental, perhaps this isn't for you, but if you want something different, something authentic, you'll love it. My favourite stay on my Kyushu trip!

The western style beds are very comfortable. Both the breakfast and dinner menu were excellent. They vary the menu everyday as we stayed there for 3 nights. Very close to the Takachiho shrine.

You're just a couple blocks from the bus station and all the restaurants while still being in a place with a residential vibe. Shower stalls are clean. The host asks you to pin where you're from on the world board, which is always a fun exercise to me. They also display international currencies so feel free to donate a fun International coin or bill!
