We stayed in a train antique room which is very very spacious (enough for 4 to 6 people). All the facilities are new, modern and grand. There is new private spa inside the room and the wood smell is still present. The lodge is so beautiful and beyond our expectations, you will feel like stayingin a villa! The dinner and breakfast are also good and tasty. Staff can communicate in English and are very customer-centric. In sum you won't have regret to stay here.

Room was very clean. And the hotel provided free coffee/tea available at the reception area, plus frozen food bentos.
We got the room right next to the check-in area, but this meant no stairs, which made carrying the luggage easy.
Ample parking available.
There is a family mart right next to the hotel, which made it convenient to get snacks or breakfast. A microwave was available in the room.

The Route Inn Nakatsu is another good quality Hotel, good location, ample parking and good value for money. Friendly helpful staff, fast check-in, the rooms were very clean, comfortable and good lighting. This Hotel is suitable for everyone from businessmen to families.
We stayed 2 nights in Nakatsu. When we went to the Yabakei Cycling Terminal, we found that it was closed due to year end. Luckily we found another shop near Aonodōmon, the bicycle riding was extremely good even it was at Winter time. We plan to ride for a longer distance the next time we come here.
However, the Shinyaba Gorge where we should enjoy 8 scenic view at one location..... was kind of an oversold location...we considered ourselves wasted a lot of time driving from it.
