If you plan to visit Chikubu Island. It's the perfect place to stay as the ferry terminal is just across the road. It's close to other attractions in Nagahama as well. The hotel is sprawling and huge. The staff was cheerful and helpful. The room is comfortable and quiet. Breakfast collection was good and I had it in front of a window offering a great, close-up view of Biwako

The hotel is located in the old town surrounded by all the beautiful traditional houses. It is about 10 mins walking distance to Lake Biwa. The lady staff who checked us in when we arrived was very professional and kind. She followed us to the public car park nearby to park our car and brought us umbrella to make sure we don't get wet as it was raining. Excellent customer service which you will not receive in big hotels! Room was spacious and clean which comes with a big and nice bathroom. We are grateful to all the staffs at the hotel who has made our stay an enjoyable one!

The guesthouse is located at the end of a small road right by the rice fields. It was very quiet and peaceful and I had a good night's sleep. The house is tastefully decorated and has all the amenities you would need, including a washing machine that you can use for a small cost. The host speaks good English and explained clearly about everything in the house. The room was clean and tidy, and the futon was very comfortable. I would recommend others to stay here.
