Beautiful locations - good for people who love the nature.
Beautiful locations - good for people who love the nature. Only way to go around is to rent a car as everything's quite far apart. My favorite stop was the Hotokegaura rock formations, along the Shimokita Peninsula. About a 20-min walk from the parking lot to the rocks. Be sure to also stop by at Cape Oma for some tasty Oma Tuna!

There are some true gems on the Omanita peninsula including...
There are some true gems on the Omanita peninsula including impressive rock formations and a very old temple complex. For the one who like driving (car or motorcycle): the coastal road facing the Aomori side from Mutsu to Oma is a dream to drive. That is also the "downside": it takes long to get from A to B, and without a car it is virtually impossible to explore the peninsula.
