The house is amazing, with multiple rooms for a large traveling party. Great shared living spaces for our entire group to hang out. Place is very well-furnished with appliances and everything you could need around the house. Amazing view of the city and the mountains from the balcony. Our host was also super helpful and assisted with reservations at restaurants.

Super family friendly they had the outdoor climbing net and a tone of toys and books that made the home super welcoming. The beds were so soft I thought I was sleeping on a cloud. The location of the house was in a residential neighbourhood in the suburbs of Nagano city, so it was very quiet and quite safe. Access to the house was quite easy from Kirihara station (approx. 7-10 minutes on foot). The house itself was spacious, the kitchen was well equipped, and the futon beds were comfortable. The owner was very friendly and helpful (he spoke English and Italian on top of Japanese), and as he is a wine connaisseur and importer, we were also able to buy and taste some excellent wines during our stay. The owner also provided us with coffee, herb tea and apples (locally grown).

Excellent location. The check in process was a bit tedious, but that's on me since I didn't complete the passport form beforehand although they emailed me about it multiple times. They left a nice hand written note, pajamas, more than enough towels for our stay, slippers, and treats and pour-over coffee from local businesses, which was a very nice touch. The place is run by a local book publisher, so you do feel like you're contributing to something positive for the community, and they had some really interesting books in the suite that they had published.
