We arrived quite late at night but the uncle at reception was so kind & nice.
Simple check in process & there is some parking charge (forgot the fee but we paid together during check in).

This is a unique hotel that somewhat resembles a castle. We thought it was a great value for the price, and the rooms are huge, especially by Japan's standards. Each room includes a private garage with a door, and you can enter the room through the garage. You can also enter it upstairs from the hotel hallway. It's basically an apartment-style room, with a small kitchen, a private bath that looks out in to a beautiful zen setting with camellia plants and water basins; there is a nice, spacious living room with a giant window that looks out in to a large private back yard area. The bedroom is huge, with a comfortable bed and great lighting. The staff were very, very nice.
