The rooms are lovely decorated. The service is superb. I really like the dinner and breakfast (you can request for extra charges). They show a short clip of Rebun Island taken by a drone after dinner. I think this hotel is really underrated and would totally recommend for you to stay.

The FOOD was delectable and nutritious, with lots of variety to taste. We had fun with the hotel outfits too. The onsen was very nice. It was a very authentic Japanese experience in Island Inn Rishiri.

Situated in Oshidomari and only 25 km from Mt. Rishiri, Rishiri Greenhill Inn features accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking.

Very friendly staff. They waited at the ferry terminal to drive me and other guests to the hostel. Great budget stay, the bento provided was delicious, and they kindly offer a drive over to the beginning of the Mount Rishiri hike at 4:45am. It's a little early, but it's worth it to do the hike while it is cool.

Very nice spot to explore Rishiri! The room was large enough, with all needed amenities. The shower/bath room was nice and never crowded. It was simple, but cosy. Close to the ferry terminal and restaurants. 15mn walk from the Onsen. WiFi worked perfectly, not sure why the rate was so low!

Rishiri Antique Inn, hotel in Kafuka

Offering a shared lounge and mountain view, Rishiri Antique Inn is located in Rishiri, 27 km from Mt. Rishiri and 700 metres from Kutsugata Harbor.

The house is lovely. I love older Japanese houses and this one has a lot of charm. It is spotlessly clean and exquisitely decorated. I liked what I saw online but it looks even better in person. It smells of fresh tatami and it is filled with the interesting objects that give the inn its name. Even the sliding doors are pretty. And most importantly, it felt cosy and we slept really well. But it was the warm welcome of the owner Yuki that really made the trip memorable. From the moment he picked us up with another guest, he put everyone at ease and then conversation flowed. We ate together and he showed us the local onsen. The next day we booked a guided tour with him and it was well worth it. We went to many points of interest and he explained everything. He is a great ambassador for Rishiri and seems to genuinely enjoy getting to know his guests. Even outside of the guided tour, he was ready to answer any questions we had. It was also interesting to hear about his travels around the world. I don't think you can get that kind of experience at most guest houses. The location is convenient too. Besides great landscapes, in Kutsugata there is a convenience store, several places to eat, a great onsen, and bicycle rental place.
