Very comfortable Japanese hot spring hotel, no need to worry about language problems, some staff speak English or use translation App. The bath and food are amazing, I recommend half-board booking for better experience. It’s location is close to Shrines and museums, within walking distance. Special thanks to three staff members: Inomata Ryu, Iwata Natsu and Ishibashi Chika.

You can literally stay here all day as there's so much to see whether it's big or something so small. There are many eateries around. Get the bus from izumo station it doesn't take long. Remember take an umbrella as it gets quite hot. And just enjoy what is around 😃

Izumo is such a historical significance place for Japan, is a must visit if you want to know Japan history and culture. Not to miss is the soba as the texture is slightly more chewy. And of cause the onsen, is great! Did I mention the people are super friendly which made my stay unforgettable.

Izumo is known as "Land of Shinto God" and many Japanese legends has its root here. A must visit place for anyone is Izumo Taisha which is very famous throughout Japan. Many Japanese come to pray for good life and especially in LOVE aspect because the main deity enshrined here is Okuninushi which is regarded by Shintoism as "God of nation-building, agriculture, medicine, protective magic and marriage".
Izumo also known for its local cuisine which is "Izumo Soba" which is highly reagarded as one of three best Soba in Japan, you will find many Soba restaurant to serve this menu. So don't miss the opportunity to try it!
However, if you are addicted to shopping or love the bustling big city's life, this little town has almost zero to offer. So if you are not the one who love Japanese mythology, Shintoism or the quietness of rural area then this town is not a place for you!!! (It is also 956 KM from Tokyo, so it take a lot of time to come here even Shinkansen+Limited Express train from Tokyo will takes about 6 hours or atleast 1.5 hours by plane)

For me and my wife, the best experience in Izumo is the visit to the Izumo-Taisha, one of the most historical shrines in Japan. The atomospheres at there was just amazing and we would wish to visit again in the near future. Another thing to enjoy could be the food such as soba-noodles and various seafoods.
