The owner lend us a kid's towel/blanket and my daughter really liked it. There was a high chair as well. There was sufficient utensils for adults and kids. The apartment was on the 1st floor so no stairs required to enter the house.

This hostel is really excellent value considering it contains a good onsen, excellent kitchen, spacious dining / lounge area and very roomy dorms with comfortable beds. The location in Asahidake was much more beautiful than I had anticipated (especially as the snow was beginning to fall), and the staff were especially attentive and friendly. Don’t hesitate! The Onsen was perfect at the end of a hike - with an indoor and outdoor bath and plenty of showering space. Re provisions - yes there is a little shop on site but it is limited to simple dried ingredients & instant food / ice cream etc. I would recommend bringing things from Asahikawa or elsewhere. Also there is an ok restaurant at the ropeway which closes at 3!
