Unkai no Sato no Yado, hotel in Fuki

Featuring a Japanese garden, Unkai no Sato no Yado is a 35-minute drive from Koyasan Station. This inn offers luggage storage space and a restaurant. Free Wi-Fi is available in all rooms.

The host is one of the most welcoming person we have met during our trip in Japan. She came to pick us up later than planned at Koyasan, according to our request. She came with her granddaughter and was very curious and open-minded. She prepared us delicious meals (for the dinner and for the breakfast), she is an excellent cook! She speaks a bit English, sufficiently to communicate and share about life and the Japanese culture. We had a wonderful stay at her place!

We loved everything: spacious and beautiful bedrooms, excellent food (worth at least one Michelin star) offered by Chef OHIGASHI in parallel of great wines and sake list, 3 five stars private onsen, excellent personalized service, by Micky? and Matsumoto? the international great classy sommelier with a great sense of humour (sorry if i lost your names, please correct me in answer). You really feel more than at home in this unique independent hotel, where the owner has invested heavily to offer the best experience to his guests, in every details and spirit of excellence!

高野山 宿坊 恵光院 -Koyasan Syukubo Ekoin Temple-, hotel in Fuki

A 1000 year-old Buddhist temple, Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in offers Japanese-style accommodation, a beautiful garden and free WiFi.

We stayed in this accomodation for ONE night in September 2024, the athmosphere was enchanting and the staff kind and polite! What we really like were: the ceremonies like meditation, fire and the cemetery night tour! Also tasting the Buddhist vegetarian dishes was a fantastic idea! It was a remarkable experience! Super recommended!

高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin-, hotel in Fuki

Offering a garden and garden view, 高野山 宿坊 不動院 -Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin- is located in Koyasan, 45 km from Matsushita Park and 47 km from Subaru Hall.

Staying in Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin was an one of a kind experience. Everything was very special. The people who welcomed us couldn’t be more polite and kind. As soon as you enter you sense the uniqueness and the energy of this sacred place. You experience another side of Japanese culture and get to learn about Bouddhisme. On top of that, the dinner and breakfast are sensational with many little delicious plates. I also strongly recommend to take part in the morning ritual as it is very special. Staying at Koyasan Shukubo Fudoin is an ideal establishment to experience all sides of Japanese culture during your visit of this beautiful country!

The village is small, in the forest in a very beautiful place. The real flavor of the Japanese hinterland. Clean air. Everything is very beautiful. The most beautiful thing is the married couple who own this house. They are both wonderful and responsive people. They solve absolutely all the issues that arise. Great workers. Thank you.
