Great location, parking convenient across the street (1000 yen/ night), receptionist went out of the way to accommodate us. Have washer and dryer to be used for free. Many nice restaurants nearby, view on Mt Fuji from rooftop terrace. Rooms are nice and comfortable beds.

I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen.
I travelled from Tokyo to Shin-Fuji via Kodama Shinkansen. The fare is ¥5900 one way and travel time is nearly an hour. I stayed at Toyoko Inn which is 150 meters from the Shin Fuji station. There are lots of car rentals in the area but I was not able to get one as they only accept advance booking from their website. It took me 2 hours getting to and from the foot of Mt. Fuji, by bus and a 15 minute walk in the village to reach my destinations. Roads are quite narrow but they are common in Japan. Like most countryside places in Japan, Fuji is relatively clean, rich in nature, and lots of places to explore. My advice if you want to visit Fuji: 1. Travel by Shinkansen going to and from Fuji. 2. Rent a car so you can visit most of the attractions in and around Mt. Fuji. 3. Spend at leat 3-4 days in the area. 4. Bring cash with you always as most establishments are cash based. 5. Download Papago app on your phone so you can translate Japanese images, signs, etc if you're having difficulty understanding the language. That's it and enjoy your trip to Mt. Fuji.

The hotel was very close to the respective train stations, and you can get a fairly unobstructed view of both the sunrise and Mt. Fuji from the roof (just ask permission first). Rooms were extremely spacious, comfortable, and nice city views. Quiet as well!
The staff were friendly, very clean, English speaking movies and a GREAT view of Mt Fuji from our room 1007. Good location & view front the front of the hotel is better than travelling 2.5hrs to Mt Fuji.
Amazing value for money, including buffet breakfast, shared bathhouse, early arrival luggage storage, and shuttle buses to and from Shin-Fuji station. Customer service was also excellent.
