I absolutely loved my stay at Ronenai Base. The hospitality from Sheesa and Kuwa was exceptional - at the end of my stay, I felt like I was leaving the house of a friend's.
Some of the (many!!) highlights included: being only a 20mins drive from Asahikawa airport; got recommendations for sights to see, & places to visit; had daily brekkie which was Japanese or Western style & there was a dinner option if advanced notice is given to the hosts; the futon was comfortable bed; and, there was a sauna which I could use on a daily basis. It was such a relaxing week for me!
Looking forward to staying here the next time I'm in Biei. Thanks again to Sheesa and Kuwa :)

We liked the location of the property as it is near the grocery and some very quaint cafes and restaurants. We also liked that we had parking. The place was enough as space for all four of us. There was sufficient room for our luggage and bags.

It is a perfect scenic, serene getaway from busy city life. You don't actually need to plan and follow your itinerary to the point. Just roam around, whether on bicycles or in a rented car. Soak in the brisk air. Fumble into random cafes and restaurants. Biei is just so humble and modest, and yet very satisfying.

We loved our friendly hosts and their family, nothing was too much trouble, they were so kind and helpful, a delicious breakfast each morning and with ideas for exploring and the loan of their electric bikes, wonderful biking around the countryside. Biei is a perfect small town, easy to get around, great restaurants. We drove to Asahidake and despite a cloudy light rain day we loved a day hike to Susodaira Valley and on towards Nakodake Onsen, afterwards a divine soak at Asahidake Onsen. Arigato
I love how comfortable and spacious the property was. Very suitable for family that have kids because they also provide toys for the kids. It is family-friendly property. The host is really kind too. If i were to come again in biei i would definitely book this property
