Breakfast was sumptuous and beautiful. Shabu shabu dinner, ordered after arriving, was excellent. The milk tofu and shashimi entrees were amazing, so were the meat and vegetables. We were very happy with the owner’s recommendation of the cruise to Chikubu island. The onsen was fabulous. Walking distance to the train station and many good restaurants in spite of being a small town. We enjoyed walking along the lake and listening to the waves. We would highly recommend this ryokan.

a lovely stay in a traditional farm-house. a real country-side experience with so nice people! even had a mini-onsen-like experience. it is a quit place, we where looking for this kind of experience. the land -lord is living downstairs, we had a big traditional room upstairs.

A spacious 2-level house, large enough for our little family of 3. Although we didn't get to meet with the owner but can feel he is kind and welcoming. The house has provided what we needed for the night - clean environment and well-maintained facilities. We slept on the tatami which is the traditional Japanese style bedding on the floor, also a very nice experience for tourists like us.

We had the place to ourselves. The owner said that he tries to keep the place so that guests can have the whole place to themselves. There is one long stay guest there and he helped us out with how everything works when the staff were not there. There is a projector and lots of games to play in the living room so it's great to chill out there! Basic and simple accommodation but really laid back and we'll try to come again.
