We were 4 tourists from Slovenia, stayed for 3 nights. The host is the kindest man, he speaks good english and was always able to help us, whenever we needed help. We arrived one day early, due to some complications and he provided us a room at the middle of the night. The breakfast was available 24/7 and for dinner, he provided traditional food. One of the best dishes we tried in Jordan. The rooms are big and comfortable, there is a lot of space to just hang out. It is about 15 minutes from the entrance to Petra and very easy to find. Would reccomend 10/10.

The family that runs the place will make you feel at home. They care dearly about their guests and will go out of their way to make you feel comfortable. If you stay here, know that the dinners and breakfasts are cooked by the mom of the family, and she's an exceptional cook. What's more, most of the food is grown in their garden downstairs. On our last night we had a lengthy conversation with the eldest son of the family, about jordanian culture and traditions, which was extremely interesting. The rooms are great and spacious, with comfortable beds, have a mini fridge and the hostel is 12 minutes drive trough a gorgeous road. Last but not least, as the name says the place has a breathtaking view over the mountains that surround Petra. If you have dinner here you'll enjoy a beautiful view of the sunset behind the mountains.

First of all, I highly recommend that you book this wonderful hostel with its location and owners. Secondly, I would like to share with you my experience with this hostel. I arrived almost at sunset, and the view was indescribable. The view was stunning and more than fantastic. Then I ordered a dinner, where I ordered a dish called “Maqluba”, which was very delicious and had a wonderful combination of flavours, at an acceptable price, the quantity was very sufficient. Then I ask for a cup of Turkish coffee and sat in the main hall of the hostel. After that I went to the bed which was very comfortable and clean. In the morning, I woke up early with this most wonderful atmosphere, the fresh air and the quiet, picturesque place. I ordered a breakfast containing traditional food and it was more than wonderful, with a cup of hot tea and hot bread as well. It was a wonderful experience and I recommend it to everyone. I would like to thank this wonderful family for this wonderful hospitality, delicious food, and their constant smile on their faces.
