When you imagine that you travel to a friends who lives at the village in Europe, what would you expect? Probably village life, which is different than the one in the city. What would you expect when you travel to desert? Probably much less confortable place than you can find here at MalakoRum. Very confortable rooms, european type of toilet, hot shower (we vere there just at the end of calendar year - so in winter time). Wow and such delicious dinner freshly cooked by the hosts. The stay for us was like visiting friends who moved to desert to farm there. So we expected animals around, and we loved it. When you see beduins next the desert streets they have also animals around. So the experience from the desert life was way more much authentic then the games played to tourist elsevere. We expected and loved that touch of authenticity. Jo was very kind all the time to explain all the things we were curious about - desert life,geology, history etc. and she turn to be very rich well of knowledge. She offered us a hiking tour in the mountains around and it was unexpectedly experience with a little climbing at the top of near hill top with wonderful view. Jafar may seem to be harsh and bitter, as the desert fruit are, on the first glance. But when you let to know him a little bit more you will find the cool and broad hearted man you can love. We had four-wheeler car so we wanted to travel more in desert, but without any experience of desert ride. Jo and Jafar helped us to plan our little desert trip, just for the time we had. That trip was also wonderful experience which we would have not undergo without the help of our "desert" friends. Thank you for encouraging and helping.

Our experience in the luxury tent was amazing, with a stunning view and comfortable air conditioning. Communication with Omar was smooth and easy, and the rest of the staff were extremely friendly. We left our rental car in their parking lot next to the main street, and then we were transported to the camp by a Jeep. We booked a 4-hour Jeep tour, which included several stops such as a Bedouin tea experience, visiting movie locations, and watching the sunset. After dinner, we enjoyed an unforgettable view of the stars in the desert sky. We also had lunch, traditional Bedouin dinner, and breakfast at the camp, which was great considering the remote location. I highly recommend staying at this camp!

Loved the bubbles out in the middle of the desert. They organised all our tours - staff were helpful/funny.

Room

Staying at this camp was one of the best decisions I've ever made. Words are not enough to describe how we feel here. If you decide to travel to Jordan, you should visit this place. We arrived before sunset and had the opportunity to enjoy the beautiful sunset on our way to the camp. In the evening we had a classic Bedouin dinner, which we enjoyed a lot. The people were especially nice and the whole camp had a pleasant atmosphere. The view from the room was really exceptional. In the evening we lay on the swing and saw the sky and in the morning we watched the sunrise and the beauty of the surroundings. We rode the camel in the desert and also a jeep tour. If you're here, try it for sure. Thank you for everything. This place won with our hearts.

Great pool, and great staff - everything was really easy to organise as well!

The location of the hotel is amazing. With the SUV it's easy to reach any part of Wadi Rum. The food and personel at the hotel are impressive. The manager Aied organized our three-day's trip in Wadi Rum. Our guide Aschraf and Hani are very kind and always listened us.

One of the most peaceful places on earth + Wow! What a magnificent place on earth. So peaceful. The tents faced the sunrise, which was a special treat. We sat outside in the mornings with our coffee and enjoyed watching the camels go by, and the hot air balloons take flight. Abdullah was a special host. Always making sure we were comfortable & asking us if we needed anything. There are many activities he can arrange for you. We took an amazing sunset jeep tour. The beds were comfortable, the air conditioning worked perfectly and the breakfast and dinner was amazing. We only stayed 2 nights. I wished we had stayed longer. We are already planning a trip back. - Nothing

Wonderful location, in the magic wadi rum desert. The tents are new, clean and well refreshed, with all the confortable and even more. All the people of the staff are super kind and nice! It has been a pleasure stay there and we hope to come back in the future!

This staying was the best out of all we stayed during our Jordan trip. We highly recommend to book it. The room and other house spaces where clean. The place was warm even there is no heating. Plugs need an adapter if you coming from Europe. The view from terrace is perfect: desert everywhere even you are not directly inside it you feel like you are there. Dinner and breakfast consist of authentic traditional food. It was so delicious. The communication with Ali (WhatsApp) upon arrival was amazing, we negotiate everything in advance: tour through Wadi Rum, food ect. Ali gave us also tips when we were planning our Jordan trip. We would like to thank Ali and his family once again for giving us an unforgettable beduin experience. We greatly appreciated his hospitality. Having tea, listening to traditional music, and talking over dinner was amazing. Our thanks goes to his brother for desert tour. Moreover, our thanks goes to his other brother for showing us their animals.
