Parking in the garage was easy and right next to the hotel entrance. The hotel is in the ZTL area, but your car plate number is exempt from the police camera system after you check in at the reception.

The staff is very kind and helpful. Our bed was comfortable and the room was nice and spacious. Breakfast is varied and in some cases uses local products, like the jams, which are delicious. The location is fantastic, right at the heart of the city.

We travel by bike. The bikes can be stores in a secured garage. Very safe. We also could clean the bikes completely after we ran into a very mudy track. The owner is very nice and helpfull

The staff was always helpful. They gave me the best information regarding parking and market. It is very useful when staying inside the walls of a small medieval city in Toscana.

Beautiful Medieval town with excellent restaurants and shops. The Etruscan and Roman museum and ruins are fabulous. Don’t miss the MWF walking tour of the town. One of the most interesting, and least crowded and touristy, towns in Tuscany.

Volterra was a wonderful city to visit--lots of historical sites and museums, well-kept central area, and many great shops and restaurants to choose from. My major disappointment though was that many of the historical sites, such as the Etruscan Acropolis and the Roman Theatre and the Palazzo dei Priori were extremely underwhelming. The outside exhibits were closed off, apparently for repairs but it didn't look like they were ever going to get it fixed, so you barely got to see the monuments (and the price, without the Volterra Card, is still very, very high). Some of the museums had very limited exhibits and rooms, especially Palazzo dei Priori and the Alabaster Museum (do NOT waste your money on this). There is great potential, but sadly, only the Etruscan Museum and Palazzo Viti met my expectations for historical value. The alabaster shops and craft goods were abundant though and spectacular!

I spent three days in Volterra and thoroughly enjoyed everything (museums, views, good food, and good wine), but due to work obligations, I had to limit the things I could visit. Volterra has so much to offer; I encourage everyone to visit it with respect and admiration.

I never expected to have such a great hotel in such an old building.
Location: perfect one. Near the parking, but also in Volterra, so you can mix you travel with sightseeing and still have your car around.
Breakfast: Very good! Compared to other Italian hotels, where you get primarely sweets, here you get quite a lot more.
Room: We stayed in the family room and it is huge and very specious! Air Con was working smooth and it was very pleasant.
Bike & Bed Hotel appears to be a repurposed college in the non-school year. As it was (vertically) a significant distance from Volterra centro, I (and most other cyclists/guests) appreciated that they offered a full dinner and breakfast at the 'hotel'. They also accommodated our cycling need by offering a bike wash stand, repair tools and lube. Very considerate of them.
Nice welcome from courteous staff. Lovely room, amazing views, comfortable bed, good linen. . Everything else was lovely and the breakfast was the best we had in 2 weeks in italy with great choice and super homemade cakes.
The staff was for sure the best, very helpful and nice. Food was very good and the staff in the restaurant was super nice too!
Room and bathroom were OK. The hotel is close to the city center so easy to walk around.
A brilliant family business in the beautiful Volterra. A great view and, perhaps one of the best breakfasts in Tuscany, with local dishes home baked by Luca’s wife.
