The property itself is nice, some of the rooms are old. Ours in particular was facing a parking lot even though we spent €250+ per night. The animation team is fun for kids and they played the euro games on a big screen which was fun. The beach and beach bar is nice.

Tropea is a great destination if you are wanting traditional itslian good and culture but also want to feel like your on a deserted island. First off the beaches are of plenty to choose from with soft sand, sun beds and plenty of cafes and restaurants attached to the beach. It's AFFORDABLE they don't over charge like other places and the food was possibly the best quality I've had and mind you I've done almost every city in italy.
The locals are lovely, kind and friendly and really treat you like family most speak English but it's an older demographic so brush up on your Italian. The night-life is spectacular and there's always something fun to do and see. Great for kids and big family's who want to spend less but RELAX. can't wait to go back

Tropea has amazing beaches, and it’s perfect if you’re a beach lover. The historic center is cute. They have a lot of restaurants. You can visit nearby Scila, take a day trip to the Aeolian Islands, or a 3 hour cruise to Capo Vaticano. La Conchiglia restaurant was very good, and if you don’t mind not staying exactly in the center, I recommend Residenze Ro.Ma. Great staff, very clean, great breakfasts

Amazing must see Calabria destination. Easy to drive to or take the train. Parking in the Centro Storico is challenging, but available. Every thing there is walkable. Amazing restaurants everywhere you look. Tons of nightlife and people watching, supplimented with awesome weekend free musical events to attend. The city is absolutely charming with lovely side streets, fascinating architecture everywhere you look, friendly people and extremly tourist friendly maps brochures and office available to help you find your way around.

We visited Tropea in the first half of April.
We visited Tropea in the first half of April. The weather was pleasant and the city wasn´t crowded. Many of the restaurants and bars were still closed before the real season start but there were still plenty of options. Parking wasn´t very easy (and I expect to get some fines in the upcoming weeks).

I was there out of season.
I was there out of season. Many restaurants in Tropea were shut but enough. More opened at the weekend.
Public transport seems limited to the trains. Tropes is on a branch line and at best the trains are every 2 hours. There are lots of beaches to explore.
Access to the hills. Would require some research.

Tropea was an awesome little town!!
Tropea was an awesome little town!! Very quaint, plenty of restaurants, gellato stores and little shops! It has the perfect mix of stores, food, and outdoor activities. I WISH I had planned a longer stay, would go back here in a heartbeat!
Free parking at the door, easy flat walk to beach, clean and very modern (new), excellent breakfast (best we've had on our travels), nice friendly staff, we tried to stay another night, but they were full. Good value for money. This B & B is on beach level, you have to walk up to the Historical Centre and all the good restaurants. It's beautiful up there, no parking and very expensive in comparison.
The location is excellent, walking distance into town, beautiful sandy beaches, lots of beach bars and great views. The breakfast was incredible with omelettes, quiches, fried eggs, breads, jams, fruit filled croissants and the numerous cake selection. The best breakfast so far whilst travelling around Italy and Sicily. They are also dog friendly which is definitely a positive.
The location is fabulous, the staff is delightful. We visited 4 major cities and Tropea in Italy and this was our favorite stay. Great breakfast, great AC. Graciela and Giulia were the best hosts. Our first ever B&B stay and we loved it.
I believe it’s one of the best B&B I’ve been in the last years in south of Italy. Comfy, super clean and proper beautiful! Great attention to details and lovely welcoming by Oscar!
I’ll be back ! Thank you!
