Palazzina300, hotel in Treviso

We like Treviso as an alternative to Venice and this hotel was great--right in the heart of old Town Treviso. We had the suite with a terrace and view of the tower, which was awesome, but everyone in our party of 5 loved their rooms. Despite being right in the middle of all the action, it's super quiet and clean. It was nice to have someone at reception, and we could also leave our bags there. Another plus was the arrangement of an airport transfer. Just great service all around. We would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Treviso is a lovely little place - it looks well looked-after and feels very safe. It's quite chilled out - doesn't have loads of tourists and doesn't feel overly busy. But it's beautiful - lots of very interesting old buildings, canals that look very clean with bars and restaurants along the side, and a really interesting museum. Lots of good eating options too, and very good value (as are the drinks!).

Treviso is a nice small city.

Treviso is a nice small city. We stayed in the historical center and felt very safe walking the area. We went early September and the center was always busy and bustling with people however not so much busy that it felt over crowded. There are some good shops for shopping and nice cafeterias and restaurants practically everywhere.

Nice and cosy town, with a beautiful old town.

Nice and cosy town, with a beautiful old town. I land in Treviso airport on my way to Biennale of Art in Venice for 7 years already, but it was the first time that I decided to stay in it. I think it is worth visiting, but loses in comparison to Venice. And not surprisingly - when I got message from Booking „Attractions choosen for you in the city of Treviso”, all the offered tours and attractions were… in Venice. I think Treviso could build its own brand, if this was the desire, starting from the city of volleyball, with the strong record of international achievements. But so far it seems to me, that the city accepts its role for being just a transit destination.

Treviso is a quaint little city which to me was a much better option than overpriced and overcrowded Venice (I can totally understand Venice dwellers increasing ire with rising tourist numbers, it it definitely well-founded). It has it all, views, nice people, churches, canals, you name it, and it is tranquil. Sure, like any city it gets busy in the evenings as people go out but it is pleasant, you don't feel suffocated. You can just go and have a coffeee or some wine with friends and feel good without having to brush shoulders with others all the time or have no place to walk in the street. I love it here and will surely come back. I experienced it with an 8 yo who hates crowds and even she loved it here.

I would recommend people to visit Treviso as it is small enough to walk around, plenty of shops, parks and wildlife. The river is the standout feature and the local people are very welcoming and friendly. It's only a 10 minute shuttle bus from the airport to the train station and Treviso has easy connections to Venice, Udine, Padua, Vincenza and Verona.

We have stayed here before so knew it was good. The hotel is very handy for the centre of Treviso and also for Venice as it is close to both the bus and train stations for the short trip to Venice. The rooms are smart and very clean. Good air con. The staff are lovely and check in is very efficient. Staying again later in the year as we often use Treviso airport when we fly to this area.
