The hotel staff were very friendly and spoke good English. The lovely beach and arch are a short walk.
Beds were comfy. Rooms were clean.
Breakfast was abundant… one of the best we’ve had.

It was a terrible terrible stay. Service, food, staff, quality everything is a fraud!

My mum used to live in this village in the 90s and worked in a restaurant that is now closed and left to die on the far end of the sea passeggiata. I have visited some 10 years ago as well. While the Oristanese is an amazing, somewhat still wild and welcoming area, the facilities are still very disappointing. There is no taxi service, the nearest ones from other villages/main towns will ask you for an arm and a leg for any trip, so come prepared. There are daily buses, but connections to the airport/other cities will have you wait a long time. The food, on the other end, was what we really enjoyed. There is a restaurant called Altamarea just on the seafront that has reasonable prices and wonderful food. We basically went every day. We did go just at the beginning of the season, therefore there might be more facilities as you approach the high season.
The water and the beaches are to die for in all of Sardinia, but the mid-west coast is somewhat magical. You can enjoy a moderately difficult walk on the arch and enjoy the moon-like feeling of the rocks.
I also really loved the quiet atmosphere and completely fell in love with the Persian Silk Trees that spread a wonderful scent throughout the town.
In short, you should truly consider driving here, either renting a vehicle or go with your own car by ferry from mainland Italy. You would really enjoy the most of the whole area if you had a way to go around.
