We really enjoyed our stay at this family run hotel. We stayed in room 38 which was on the top floor, sea view and a corner so had wonderful views of the sea. My brother stayed in room 30 just below us. Both rooms were very large and the views exceptional. I highly recommend upgrading to the sea view. The breakfast room is very nice and also has a view. At breakfast we enjoyed the nice and varied selection of meats, cheeses, pastries (excellent croissants and pastries), and yogurts. This is an older property but it is very clean and well maintained. It was once a family villa that later became a hotel. It made us feel at home and a part of its history. It was a quick 10 minute walk to the city center. The service was very good and we would definitely stay there again.
Located in a central position between portofino and rapallo, only 328 feet from the sea in a quiet and peaceful atmosphere, the hotel offers an enchanting atmosphere for a truly relaxing break.

A bustling town full of character with a long promenade to explore. Ferries go regularly to both Portofino and Cinque Terre but its also nice to walk the coastal path around to Portofino. Lots of restaurants and bars, Caffe du Port is very good for trying local cuisine.

Pros:
Good location , not far from the city .
Pros:
Good location , not far from the city . Nice interior and it's remodeled. Fair price
Cons:
1- The host didn't reply to my messages .I got a message for the checkin , and the check out and ignore completely my 2 messages .
When I arrived they had a foldable bed , when I opened it it didn't have any sheets on it . I was expecting to have white bed sheets , and covers like the one in the bedroom bed .I've sent a message to the host , but they didn't reply the whole stay.
The day before the checkout , I've asked if I can get a late checkout , instead of checking out at 10 Am , also ignored my message , and never received any replies.
2- The parking is very very tight and is on the next street . It was a bit of a puzzle to find the parking and the keys , even though he had a video showing it . Which kinda helped but was still a puzzle :)
3- The train passes right by the appartment , luckily noise does not bother me , but I won't recommend it if someone is a light sleeper.

This is a pretty port town, close enough to Portofino for a morning or afternoon drive. Plenty of restaurants to choose from, if you have a car, parking is avaiable but download the easypark app, it will make your life in Italy so much easier.

Beautiful location and great access to anywhere and everywhere. It's probably the best-kept secret outside of Italy. It was my second time there having discovered it some years ago. I knew I had to return and stay for a week. I loved every moment.

Santa Margherita was very beautiful.
Santa Margherita was very beautiful. It was an ideal location to visit other charming towns in the area, cinque terra, day trip to Pisa or Lucca, or just to relax and enjoy the warmth of the locals, great beach, very good restaurants. The owners were very very helpful, hospitable and kind. They met us at the door and patiently explained everything. They provided us with useful links to explore the city and neighboring cities. She was always there to answer any questions we had. In summary we loved the apartment, the city, and the whole region. You can stay anywhere from 3 days to 30 days and be happy.

The accommodation was in a great location but the staff were inflexible. We wanted to move our stay forward one day but couldn't reach them on a Sunday so had to decide the earlier date online. When we arrived I asked if we could leave early but they refused to refund us for the extra night. We haven't experienced this anywhere else in 3 weeks in Italy. The hotel was not full so they weren't turning away guests because of our booking. Very disappointing
The hotel is a beautiful establishment with a very nice garden for a lovely breakfast offered and located just 100mtrs from the centre. Excellent service and comfortable bed completes the picture. Definitely staying there next time we decide to come to Santa Margherita Ligure.
Wonderful hotel in a beautiful port of Santa Margherita Ligure. This town is my favorite ever on the Ligurian coast and time spent in Metropol hotel just confirmed my love to this place.
Wonderfull staff, best views and location
The location is clean, modern, super comfortable and has everything you might needed.
