The view was wonderful, the breakfast was perfect, and the staff were incredibly friendly. I was so sad to only stay for one night.

Travelling by motorcycle the Dolomites were more testing than expected due to exceptionally heavy rain and even snow. I arrived at the hotel soaking wet but was immediately offered garage parking for the bike. Brilliant! The hotel is well located in the centre of town and there is bar on the ground floor which also serves breakfast fare and good coffee. All of the staff I met were very friendly and helpful. The owner even took my rain-soaked waterproof gloves and dried them in the laundry room. Discount is also available at local restaurants for guests.
The Chalet Al Lago overlooks Lake Mosigo, with the Dolomites as its backdrop. Just half a mile from the Donariè ski lift, it boasts a restaurant, and free parking is provided.

The breakfast was wonderful. The views were beautiful. They gave us breakfast for an early departure. They held our luggage for us when we hiked the Alta Via 1. Excellent staff who bent over backwards to help us out.

If it was possible to give an 11/10, we would.
Katia and Emilio were amazing. We arrived late and they picked us up from the bus stop. Once we dropped our bags they insisted on driving us into town for dinner and picking us up again as it was so late.
Our room was newly renovated which was not shown in the pictures, so it was a pleasant surprise.
The included breakfast was fantastic, the eggs were delicious, and Lucia was so very friendly and b accommodating each morning, always checking in on us.
We have travelled Europe extensively, and this was by far our favourite accommodation, plus the views are out of this world.

It was central to many Dolomites attractions. We ate in their restaurant. very convenient. Breakfast included was good.
We had a hire car, so easy to drive through the mountains.
A cable car ride to top of a mountain was worth doing, with lunch at the top.

The small town with its beautiful old church was delightful.
The small town with its beautiful old church was delightful. The views from everywhere in town and from the Guesthouse was breathtaking. We went to Cortina with the local bus (short trip) and then went up the Faloria cable car for a good walk and tea at the Restaurant from where the view were unforgettable. Then back to Cortina for a walk in the town and a lunch in a pub. Wish we had more time to explore San Vito di Cadore and its surroundings.

Adjacent you can find a small bar and bakery - very convenient. a nice restaurant is a two minutes walk. great value for money - just ten minutes drive to Cortina, great place to stay when exploring the eastern side of the dolomites in a reasonable price.
Great family hotel with cozy vintage decoration. Extremely clean and quiet. Jacuzzi and sauna for free with the best panoramic you could ever imagine. Outstanding breakfast: they prepare the best omeletes I've ever tried and excellent home made costratas alla mamarllatta. They offer dinner service and its fantastic!
