A beautiful property but in a remote area with out amenities that travelers need. There was no food available except breakfast and to drive on the winding roads to the nearby town was not appealing. Especially when we wanted to have a few glasses of wine with our dinner. The owners need to be on site more and provide more amenities to succeed.

Beautiful B&B with wonderful staff!

This property was clean and beautifully decorated. Had everything one needs for your stay. Cute outdoor sitting area as well and close to the centre of town. Convenient location. It was a very peaceful apartment. We were comfortable and right at home.

We arrived exhausted and muddy after a long day hiking, and the hostess made us feel welcome and quickly got us checked into the spacious 2 room apartment. In the morning she made us a cappuccino and had bakery goods to start our hiking day off right.

Great location and very safe. We had a car with us and had no issues parking for free on the street around the corner from the apartment. The check in process can be convoluted if you don't have a good connection to the Internet on your phone but, the staff made it a lot easier for us.

We totally loved our stay in Castrofilippo at the bell tower house and our hosts, Ilaria and Salvatore really topped it with their hospitality! As it was 5 of us, the maisonette of 3 floors was all ours, which was delightful and the money value superb! The house is really brand new, air-conditioned and lots of love has been put into details. The ground floor offers a dinning\breakfast area, a kitchen and a bathroom with shower. All rooms are spacious, fully functional and equipped! Our hosts came in daily to refill the yummy breakfast goodies (fresh fruit from the garden and wineyard, juices, cakes, croissant, marmelade,nuttella, etc) and prepare the dining area. There's also tea and coffee, which was great for us adults. The first floor offers a sitting area with a French balcony, another bathroom with a bathtub and a double room. All rooms are spacious and clean! The beds are very comfortable. The pictures displayed provide a true description of the house. The upper floor is a spacious triple room with personal bathroom and a wonderful balcony overlooking the bell tower. The whole house is beautiful but the balcony is really my personal favorite to enjoy a glass of wine or the morning coffee. Parking is available for free and either in front of the house or just around the corner. Supermarkets and restaurants are reachable by foot in just 5 to 10 min. The little town Castrofilippo is built on a hill and is very pretty with its narrow, ancient streets, delicious and well-prized restaurants, representative of Sicilian culture and hospitality. It's about 20 min drive to Agrigento, 30 min to Empedocle and it's beautiful beaches. On the other side it's about the same to the picturesque old town of Licata and more beautiful beaches. We were happy to be rather inland and experience a less touristy side of Sicily, especially in the busy month of August.
