What a beautiful hotel. We wanted somewhere with a balcony and a view of the water, and this lovely hotel did not disappoint. Loved our clean and comfortable room that had a huge shower. Breakfast was delicious. The staff were all friendly and helpful, especially Alissea, who gave us heaps of useful information on what to see and how to get around. There is a bus stop directly outside the hotel if you don't want to walk to the town centre. Alissea also organised a transfer to Naples Train Station for when we were leaving. Would definitely stay here again.

The staff made this trip for me. Carola was so helpful during my stay - I kept asking questions and she was so fast to respond and answer my questions.
The views are incredible! The photos don’t even do it justice.
The villa is huge - felt even bigger than in the photos. Plenty of gates to get in so felt very safe. It’s not too far from the main beach but far enough so you can enjoy the peace and see the views.

Breathtaking but touristy. Very hard to get around the city with little parking. You may want to consider staying at a smaller, less expensive, less well known, city along the Amalfi Coast and just catching a ferry in for the day.

Unfortunately, it was over touristed with Americans!
Unfortunately, it was over touristed with Americans! We went in September (I am an American trying to immerse myself with Italians (not Americans) lol). I would not return to this part of Italy bc it was just too touristy for my taste. However, I will say, the landscape from the water and the night time views with all the lights are stunning! The main beach was somewhat small and unwelcoming in space. Music on the Rocks was awful with tacky DJs, a bunch of 20-something kids, and most restaurants on the beach played cheesy American music. IYKYK the vibe. Arienzo Beach was awesome, and hands down the best beach club with a beautiful space! We had a great time there! The food was so good as well, and they had an eclectic playlist with EDM music. -- If you must see the Amalfi Coast, go by boat or yacht, anchor for a day (or even a 1 night stay) to see both the day landscape and evening. Jump off and go to these spots, and then be on your way. Favorite spots: Next2 (dinner), Francos (drinks), La Giara Rooftop Bar (drinks w/view), Casa e Bottega (healthy breakfast). Also, I love driving, I'm a female from Los Angeles, and it wasn't an issue for me despite what everyone was saying. If you are an assertive driver (not timid, understand the flow of traffic, and the edge of your car), it's a way more convenient and affordable option than taxi. Just keep in mind that parking is about $80 per night in the public parking lots.

This destination really does require a lot of walking and the ability to manage a lot of stairs. Thankfully, we were able to manage but I imagine that if you have any physical impairments you may consider staying close to where you will be eating/shopping/ect.

Nice setting (that is why people go there), but way too much people and a little difficult to get around of course. All accommodation is way overpriced. Food is great if you stay out of the main harbour area.

The Hotel is right above Fornillo beach, which is a short, lovely walk from the main part of Positano. This means you get to escape the crowds of Positano - which are ridiculous during the day with all the boat tours. Each apartment has a lovely terrace so you can sit and enjoy the 180 view of the beach. It is best reached by Ferry as the nearest public car parking is a good 10 min walk down (and up) steep stairs. If you come by car, then only take with you a small bag of necessaries!
Amazing stay at Hotel Poseidon for our honeymoon - we checked in the day after our wedding and had the most amazing stay. The staff were exceptional and the service throughout our stay was top class. We were upgraded to a suite with fantastic views across Positano and also received a lovely welcome bottle of Prosecco. The restaurant was exceptional and one of the best meals we had on the Amalfi coast.
Best value of all hotels we stayed in Positano and Amalfi (compared to other 4 and 5 star hotels). The access to private beach is a big big PLUS! The jacuzzi on terrace was amazing (we filled cold water in July and it’s basically a pool). In-room breakfast is the best idea as we could enjoy our breakfast while dipping into jacuzzi. I would definitely recommend this for value!
