VILLA FLORA ARGENTARIO, hotel in Porto Santo Stefano

VILLA FLORA ARGENTARIO offers accommodations in Porto Santo Stefano, a 13-minute walk from Spiaggia della Bionda and 22 miles from Maremma Regional Park.

This location and room was absolutely the most prime real estate view of the mini Amalfi Coast line of Porto Santo Stephano !!! The balcony and the large open picture window of the Tyrhennian Sea was spectacular and the quaint steps down to a small flat landing for a private view of it ALL was breathless !!! The colors of the clear, blues and greens of the sea gently crashing upon the dark, rugged rocks made a lasting impression. There is a second cemented platform at the rear of this darling and gorgeous property for lounging, swimming, or just dangling your feet in the clear sea. You are a moments drive into the town to catch the Toremar Ferry to Giglio Island... we spent one day on a rented vespa to the tippy top at Giglio Castle (be sure to buy a local tomato and mozzarella at the tiny market store to the right of the castle... you will never taste anything like it in the U.S. !!!) and visited Campese Beach... incredible day !!! The staff at Villa Flora ARE the classiest gentlemen, anywhere !!! Johnny, the manager and Franco assisted us and insisted they carry our luggage up and then, down many steps. These are fine men who hold this entire property in great care; including their guests. When I first caught the view at the top level to check in, I cried. I just could not believe how beautiful this unforgettable place is and that it really exists... there is no better panoramic views... we found the BEST !!! Villa Flora and Argentario was a superb location to stop, on our way south from Pisa and San Vincenzo. I would definitely visit again. Also, the breakfast was abundant and Johnny and Franco arranged it an hour early for us one day, so we wouldn't leave for the day - without a meal... super sweet guys !!! We were here in October which was a quiet time to feel like you have the whole place to yourself... an amazing experience and we hope to book it again and stay longer... to me, it doesn't get any better; nor would I want it to... a tranquil place !!!

Final remarks on Argentario location overall: in our opinion it’s best visited by boat, so if your expectation is to find long wide sand beaches, they’re not really here. The only alternative is La Feniglia natural reserve, but that implies moving by car hoping to find a parking spot - that is about 10 kms away.

Incredible place to relax and unwind.

Incredible place to relax and unwind. The staff and food are exceptional. The views are so beautiful and sunsets priceless. There are many activities during season we came at the end to relax between sightseeing in the major cities. Easy to get to between Florence/Pisa and Rome by train or car. We would definitely return!!

The area is nice to stroll along the sea

The area is nice to stroll along the sea But it is impossible to find parking even 1km far from center. No taxis or uber The walk is dangerous along the road where cars are passing and it is very curvy So there is a lot of hassle

Porto Santo Stefano was very nice.

Porto Santo Stefano was very nice. The ocean was clear blue and beautiful. There were a lot of restaurants. It was very easy to walk around Porto Santo Stefano. I had the best pizza in my life at Pizz & Core. We booked a boat and went out on the ocean, that was very nice. Will we see Hamilton Porto Santo Stefano Wettersten? Very nice. Awesome go to restaurant yard Molia to hear about what??

    Totally overrated location.

Totally overrated location. It is all wrecked down, old buildings (mostly from the 70's and early 80's). It is absolutely not the mundane holiday place it likes to portray itself. definitely doesn't have anything to do with a post COVID situation as the buildings were clearly lacking decade long maintenance. It was quite hard to find a decent place to eat (we ended up buying our food in the supermarket and eat in our room). There are literally not shops, the coffee shops don't accept cards and frankly speaking it is more a place for people that like camping (there's a 5 mile stretch leading to Argentario which is full of camping villages and camping spots). It is not a clean area at all.

We really recommend Villa Flora Argentario! It's beautyfully located directly at the seaside. Room with seaview! The personell is extraordinarily friendly. Gianni helped us with every question we had. Breakfast buffet was great! Room service, too! We'll tell friends about this place!

The breakfast at Hotel Alfiero was simple but great. The check-in process was quick and the staff was friendly and helpful. I also had a bigger than expected room, with a nice view of the port, so that exceeded my expectations.
