We were a group of seven cyclists and inline skaters planning a four-day weekend. The Villa Etchland far exceeded our expectations. They were very cycle friendly, providing us secured storage. The rooms were large, and the food excellent. Massages, pool, sauna and whirlpool were welcome after a long day on the trail. Plaus is a small village mid valley between Prato and Merano, perfectly located for long skates or cycles right from the hotel on the valley trail.

As a solo motorcycle traveler I originally planned to stay for one night.
But because of a technical issue I needed to stay 4 nights at Plaus.
The manager was very kind and helpful. Luckily he was able to extend my room and later relocated me to hotel Villa Etschland. The staff was wonderful, especially the lovely hosts Sanja and Beatrix.
Dinner was exceptional and breakfast was very nice as well.
I enjoyed my stay. Highly recommend!

The free breakfast was the best we had on our whole trip! It was a bit of a walk to the town center, but it was good to walk! There was a pool table which was a hit for our grandkids! Very nice staff!

Each room is individually designed. I stayed in "Iron," which had its own private balcony. Everything was super clean and modern. Nice touches like espresso machine with pods and hot water kettle with variety of teas. Expansive sack and drink selection in room. Very comfy beds. Large, well-lit bathroom. Responsive and friendly staff. They offer a city card that gives you free access to local busses/trams and some museum discounts. Great breakfast, too. Will definitely be staying here again.
