I was upgraded to a better room with a very nice view, so this might also positively affect my evaluation :)))
We surely liked a very nice view from the balcony which overlook the town, the sea, and nearby islands :)
The room was good, beds were comfortable, spacious enough (note we travel with two rather small bags, those that have big ones might not find it spacious enough).
The bathroom was modern, well functioning, with all needed facilities.
The reception staff was kind and helpful.
Free parking was available.
It is only a short walk to the center and the port, so location is also good ( a bit of uphill though).

Breakfast was lovely. The man clearing tables and bringing food was very attentive. Cleaners were amazing - running down to reception when I left a small item. Reception was nice, staff were helpful by letting us leave our bags all day before check-in, location was very useful for the beach, restaurants, boat companies etc.

All hidden away a bit (up side streets) but really worth it.
Lovely town. ability to use ferry to go to MAddalena, which is also nice. There was a market every night from around 9pm. There was also events in the square on Friday and Saturday. Really lively. Loved it.

Beautiful beaches all around. Santa Teresa di Gallura, Marinella, isola rossa, Porto Pollo (good for kitesurf & windsurf) , capo Testa and so many others.

Palau is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore...
Palau is the perfect place to stay if you want to explore the Costa Smeralda. Its not too large and has a very friendly athmosphere.
There is a beautiful beach really close to the apartment and there are so many great restaurants, bars, coffee shops and a lovely Gelato shop all near the marina.
There is a ferry that goes back and forth all day to Maddelena Island which is beautiful. You can either go on foot or take the car.
We travelled all along the coast and found numerous wonderful beaches and stunning marinas.
We would definitely stay there again

Nice area around the harbour.
Nice area around the harbour. A number of restaurants that are perfect for 3-4 days. Plenty of opportunities to go on a sailing trip to La madalane and the other lovely islands around Palau. You just have to try it. Sailing trips can be made in many price classes.

I definitely recommend going on a boat trip, beautiful beaches that you will only see when you travel by boat. I would recommend taking a ferry to the island of La Maddalena, renting a scooter or car and crossing this small but beautiful island.
Perfectly equipped apartment with nice furniture and a lot of space. Located direktely in the city center. Antonio met us at check in and gave us very well prepared information about things to do and where to find the best restaurants, grocery stores etc. He was caring and answered all our questions immediately. Palau is a wonderful location and we had a fantastic time. We did mainly dive school at Nautilus Dive Center, which is just 5 min walk from the apartment.
We were thrilled! Everything was perfect, from the first moment until we left - and we left feeling like friends, with the promise to come back soon. Spotlessly clean! The breakfast is amazing :) and Stella made the best cappuccino I ever tasted.
We've spent the last two days of our holidays at Stella's closing it with a golden key - chiuso in bellezza! Grazie mile!
Our room was cosy and comfortable with a good size balcony/outside area to enjoy the view of the water and Palau.
5-7mins walk to the closest beach and 7-10 min walk into beautiful Palau. Parking outside the hotel was not a problem.
