We like this hotel for our short stay during a long trip. Good beds, big bath, good breakfast, very good smell when we arrive to the lobby.😃 just a little bit of usage can be seen now after the years. Close to many shopping options and by car only 10-15 mins from the city center. Good parking. This hotel is like a comfort food. Even if we arrive really tired, we have the same good quality of service, in winter, summer, autumn or spring. Thank you!

An artistic gem, Padua (or Padova in Italian) seamlessly combines awe-inspiring heritage and a modern vibe. Counting Galileo among its former tutors, the University has the world’s oldest UNESCO World Heritage-listed botanical garden.
Across the road is huge Prato della Valle, a green square with a canal lined by 78 statues, and home to a Saturday market. A market is also held in squares near to Palazzo della Ragione whose multilevel arches and vaulted wood ceiling are an impressive sight. Cobbled, portico streets lead to the finely-crafted Gran Loggia and clock tower.
Every church has incredible décor, but the most famous is Saint Anthony of Padua, featuring the bones of the saint, an impressive 7 cupolas and 4 cloisters. The square in front has a statue by Donatello. Padua Cathedral's simple exterior houses amazing frescoes inside the baptistery by Giotto, creator of the jewel in Padua’s crown – the Scrovegni Chapel. His 14th century frescoes there have been meticulously restored to be as vibrant as the day they were painted.
The closest airport is Venice Marco Polo, but before you head there from your Padua hotel, apartment or B&B take time to enjoy the narrow streets around Palazzo del Bò or the Jewish district.

Padova is indeed a fantastic choice as a central hub in the Veneto region! Its strategic location makes it easy to explore iconic destinations. The quick 30-minute train ride to Venice is a major plus for day trips to the canals and historic sites. Additionally, the proximity to Verona and Bologna provides excellent opportunities to experience even more of Italy's rich culture and history.
The tram system in Padova is not only efficient but also eco-friendly, offering a smooth and reliable way to get around the city. As you noted, taxis can be quite expensive, so the tram is an excellent alternative for both residents and visitors. Whether you're heading to the Scrovegni Chapel, the University of Padova, or simply enjoying the vibrant local piazzas, the city offers a wonderful balance of accessibility and charm.

One of the most underrated cities in Italy.
One of the most underrated cities in Italy. I have been three times in two years and it has great buildings and a buzzy feel. The Palazzo della Ragione is a world-class space and I would visit the tiny Enoteca Severino weekly if I lived there.

I think Padova tends to get overlooked because nearby Venice is such a draw for travelers. But Padova has so much to offer. The Scrovegni Chapel contains a cycle of frescos by Giotto that turned the art world on its head. The Palazzo Raggione is so astonishing that I could barely get myself to leave. There are three piazzas in the center of town - one with an ancient clock tower and two others with frequently-held markets - all three piazzas being wonderful places to have dinner or an evening spritz. There is also a historic covered market. The city boasts both the oldest botanical gardens in the world and the oldest anatomy theatre (in Palazzo Bo). I could list many other things - St. Anthony's Basilica (loads of relics!), Prato della Valle (one of the largest squares in Europe), Galileo's home, upscale shopping, etc., etc., etc. Maybe I shouldn't recommend it so highly, as one of the things I like about it is that it isn't as touristy as nearby Venice!

Nice and elegant city, with three main squares, beautiful and with a lot of cafes. Avoid Pedrocchi though, they were a bit rude and careless (at least for us). The city is very lively with the university. I would go again and spend several days around.

Padova is lovely and like many Northern Italian cities.
Padova is lovely and like many Northern Italian cities. We were using it as a hub to visit other places in the Veneto region. But it’s VERY busy even in this shoulder period. Frankly when we went to Vicenza and loved it and it’s quiet, we wished we’d stayed there or returned to our beloved Bologna and used it as a hub to see other places! Sadly despite best intentions a much-wanted day trip to Ravenna was just too far to achieve in one day. And northern Italian cuisine is clearly influenced by its Austrian history and the pasta is heavy and not as enjoyable as our experiences of Italian pasta in other places. That’s not a massive deal but we just didn’t enjoy the meals as much as we expected.

Lovely city easy to get around in and lots to enjoy.
Lovely city easy to get around in and lots to enjoy. accommodation in prime position, welcoming hosts. Especially loved the Giottos in the Scrovegni Chapel - night viewing well organised with wonderful video before entering the chapel which we enjoyed more than Sistine chapel in Rome.

Hotel have crazy artish interior! Experience that I didnt had anywhere else. I wish I could see all the rooms!
Hospitality of the host is just amazing! He is very nice! He want to help you with everything! And even if he dont speak perfect english I enjoyed the conversation with him! Just amazing person!
Location of the place is just perfect! On edge of old town Padova. Right next to st. Anton church and monestery. I had everything I wanted to see in Padova on walking distance.
You can also get parking within hotel.
Very good localization. In a walkable distance from city center of Padwa. With his own car park (find place to park generally in Italy is more like horror story). A big plus is a AC in whole hotel (tempratures can reach 40 degrees adn more in the summer). Also a walkable distance to the Padwa Main train station where you can easly manage trip to the Venice or Verona by comfort and modern train. Highly motivated, keen and helpful staff.
This is the most beautiful and modern hotel in PADOVA. They are providing outstanding service which was the highlight at this hotel. Every single employee was kind, helpful. Rooms and amenities are super clean and tidy. I highly recommend this hotel to book also from their website, where you can get some better deals. I really enjoyed my stay and I will return to this place without the shadow of a doubt.
Great location in the center of Padua. Everything was at short walking distance. The suite was very comfortable but with a living room too big respect to the bedroom and the bathroom. Safebox and complimentary coffee&tea machine in the room. Unfortunately I had not time to use the complimentary small SPA. The breakfast was good but the choices were a bit limited, but this is usual for hotels in Italy.
I liked the hotel - very nicely located, good (particularly for Italy) breakfast, and authentic design: nice pictures on the walls, some statues. The room was clean, the amenities were nice,
