In the rhythm of travel, you sometimes stumble upon places that remind you of what hospitality truly means, and this hotel was exactly that. Nestled perfectly between Verona and the rugged grandeur of the Dolomites, this family-run haven caught our eye, not just for its location, but for its promise of good food—something any seasoned traveler knows is essential after a long day on the road (or after a generous amount of wine tasting, as was the case for us).
Arriving around 6pm, a bit road-weary but still riding the high of a day well spent, we were welcomed like family by the third-generation owners. There's something comforting about staying in a place with such deep roots. You could feel the history, the attention to detail, and above all, the genuine warmth from every member of the staff. Our room was a picture of simplicity and cleanliness, with the added luxury of a private balcony overlooking the pool, with the Dolomites stretching to the right—a little reminder of the adventure awaiting us.
Dinner? Let’s talk about the schnitzel. Generous portions, cooked to perfection, served in a bright, clean restaurant where we had the pleasure of dining by a window, taking in the soft twilight as it settled over the mountains. It wasn’t just a meal—it was the kind of hearty, satisfying food that recharges the soul.
We were in and out in a day, on a tight schedule as these things go, but not without indulging in the breakfast spread the next morning. Cold cuts, cheeses, pastries that tasted like someone’s grandmother had baked them that morning, all washed down with fresh orange juice and an espresso.
If fate—or another Dolomites adventure—brings me back to this corner of the world, I know exactly where I’ll be staying.

Very friendly host, and breakfast was wonderful - so much more on offer than we could ever want. Room was cozy. Host got us free tourist passes for the train. An unexpected bonus! The train station was right across the street, and it was extremely easy to pop over to Bolzano to enjoy being downtown.

I had a fantastic stay in Pension Flora. It was nice to see beautiful views from the Gasthaus when I woke up in the morning. After tasty breakfast I had a guided tour to the vine and apple cultivation which was just at the opposite side of the road.

Super location just steps from the train. Great pool. But the most amazing thing - the BREAKFAST! It was the most fantastic breakfast I've ever seen. You have to see it to believe. And with gluten free and vegan available for those in need also. The supply of homemade jams also! Amazing! Definitely stay here if you love breakfast!

The manager was lovely and went above and beyond to help us when our flight was delayed and we struggled to reach the hotel. He stayed up to let us check in at midnight and even offered to collect us from the train station if we needed it.
Beds very cosy and breakfast was fresh and plenty. Lovely and warm in the winter.
This is a lovely hotel in the centre of a beautiful village. The staff are really friendly . The man who runs the bar concocted a delicious non alcoholic drink for me. The garden is lovely too with many mature specimens and overall there is a very nice relaxed ambiance
