Everything! The location, the view, the apartment itself, and the owners. Couldn’t have had a better experience. The apartment was extremely well maintained and equipped with all the essentials for a relaxing and comfortable stay. Well located on the eastern shore of Lake Orta with a five minute drive to the beautiful lakeshore town of Omegna. Orta San Giulio was only about a fifteen minute drive to the south. Furnishings in the apartment were very comfortable and there were ample seating options outside on the patio including a great chair swing. The dock had several lounge chairs and everything was comfortable. The grounds and gardens are meticulously maintained and beautiful. There is a bathroom with a Jacuzzi tub that looks out over the lake and the other bathroom has a wonderful shower. The king size bed in the bedroom we slept in was extremely comfortable and also looked out over the lake. I would say that the pictures don’t do justice to the place. You really have to be there to appreciate all the thought and hard work the owners have put into making d’Ocalee a truly exceptional experience!
There were market stalls on Thursday. Extremely helpful and patient locals (we speak a tiny, tiny amount of Italian). Great local takeaways, cafe's and restaurants. A couple of supermarkets if you really want them but why would you with all the local shops selling the best cheese, meats, bread and pastries.

This was just an awesome and unexpected experience - extra friendly hosts - getting welcome with a Prosecco although we stayed only one night - recommendations for dinner and breakfast turned out to be perfect. Who ever gets close to Omegna --> this is the place to stay and enjoy
Idyllic spot by the lake. Peaceful and tranquil.
There was free use of some paddle boards, canoe and pedalo.
The breakfasts were fantastic.
The lake is super clear and great for swimming.
About 20 mins walk into Omegna - lots of bars and restaurants.
Davide was very Friendly and helpful. The apartment has a very good location in the middle of Omegna, a beautiful little town on the Lago d’Orta. The apartment is newly renovated and quite big. We had everything we needed.
Excellent new property finished to a high standard. Very comfortable bed and friendly welcome. Excellent location near lake. Omegna is not too touristy with good shops. Wished we had book longer and will stay again
The host is amazing! Alda was great help for me and my family whilst we stayed here. The apartment has great off street parking and is perfectly located to walk into Omegna for coffee, drinks, or dinner.
