Montecarelli was a beautiful small village with a great trattoria for dinner. Simonetta was a wonderful and very accommodating host, who offered everything I needed for a relaxing and comfortable stay. I stayed here as a bit of a detour from the Via Degli Dei, and I'd recommend anyone else doing the same arrange transport to and from the apartment rather than walking, as it's quite a strenuous addition otherwise.

The restaurant connected to the hotel is absolutely magnificent, and the friendliness of the owners of this magical little gem are genuinely beautiful people, who will do anything for you.

Staying at Il Casale Di Santamettole in Mugello was an absolute pleasure. From the varying breakfast choices every day and delicious home prepared dinners, to the wonderful natural setting with outdoor areas in which to relax, inclusive of the pool and pergola, we had a most enjoyable holiday. However, the greatest feature of this lovely accommodation is the care shown by the hosts and support staff. They went over and beyond to ensure our needs were met and clearly take great pride in their agriturismo with great attention to both clients and the property being of the highest standard.

We liked the pool and the lake view plus the staff was very friendly. You park very close to your apartment, which is great to pack and unpack your car, and the gate around the property is secured. Front gardens are great additions, although they are not well maintained, in need of some garden furniture update. The price was good, but we didn't get all what was in the description of the property when booking.

Everything. Enrico was a great host and the room was great, we used the pool and it is in a very pretty rural location. 10 Minute drive to the pretty medieval town of Scarperia where we went to eat. Highly recommend
