I can't say enough good about this place. When we arrived, it was late, we had been travelling for 30 hours. They served us dinner and made us feel very welcome. The location and view from the restaurant was spectacular. The staff was so helpful and friendly. They helped us with travel and just everyday questions. They went above and beyond. I highly recommend staying here. We hated to leave.

This place is literally heaven! We were absolutely blown away by everything there- the room, the breakfast, the staff- just perfection! We honestly considered to give this pace a low score just to keep it all to ourselves, but they deserve all the kind words! Will definitely come back!

Lovely location for trips to nearby towns, charming hosts, beautiful view. At the very end of October, the water in the pools was very cold, but some of us still swam in them on a nice sunny afternoon. Another bonus was the charging station for electric cars. All in all, a strong recommendation.

It’s so authentic not many tourists and the scenery is breathtaking. It’s a quiet area but so easy to get to all the sites within an hour tops from any direction, the roads are safe and easy access to the highway. The village has a supermarket, a handful of restaurants a couple of bars a quant square with cobbled paths.

The place is gorgeous with plenty of lovely scenery that enhance relaxation. The apartment is clean with all the necessary amenities. The people, Martina and AnnaMaria are extremely helpful and always ready to help when the need arises. Though quiet and surrounded by forests and mountains you are so close to places of interests Tuscany is renowned for. You can be in the hustle and bustle of busy cities like Florence and in an hours time near the pools busking in the sunshine. Great place.

Motaione lies perfectly in the heart of Tuscany with a small but really nice old town center.
It's on top of a hill with a beautiful view all around.
Unfortunately, if you go for hiking it's always very steep up or steep down - the same goes, if you rent a regular bicycle. But there is a really good mountain bike rental possibility: http://www.landhill.it/landhill-de/ in the center of Montaione. We paid 45E per E-bike and day. It's really worth to explore the region on the small roads by E-bike :-)
There is a supermarked (COOP) in the center and a nice pastry shop.

Montaione has a very good location, close to nice places in Tuscany which are worth visiting (Florance, San Gimignano, Pisa, Lucca, Volterra, Sienna). I strongly recommend it for travellers who likes nice landscape, calm nights and good wines.

We stayed as two families including 4 adults and 3 children. The town and countryside was so beautiful, welcoming and quaint. We loved the walk into town and back in the evenings and everything Montaione had to offer including playgrounds, great coffee, great food and a beautiful church, the easy access to other towns in the area including Certaldo, Florence and Siena, the fireflies, the beautiful views, the fantastic pool, and the lovely hosts, Jenny and Francesco.
Absolutely beautiful in every way. A stunning and peaceful location in the Tuscan hills, beautifully maintained, very nice staff. Even though a resort, it's more like a small secluded village - with an incredibly stunning view. We even found some porcini in the woods around the place. If you're looking for a romantic getaway - this is the place. We're already planning our next trip to Il Torrino :-)
It was beautifully situated it’s such a stunning area, The hotel originally a mill I understand so wonderful history of the old village which we lucky to see. Comfortable good size rooms.
