Set 3 minutes’ drive from the sandy beach in Mondello, family-run Camera a Palermo offers air-conditioned rooms, a shared lounge and kitchen, and a sweet daily breakfast.
We went into town in the evenings for food. There are lots of choices. The restaurants were very touristy but still good. HUGE portions in most of them. Forget about finishing both a primo and a secundo.

Very beautiful beach BUT 90% is occupied by umbrellas and beds to rent at 30€ per day for 2 persons....!!!
There are beautiful houses to see but is only that.. there's gardage everywhere!! Honestly , ill never return to mondelo!! You can go for 1 or 2 days and you'll understand what im saying. But no more than that!! Dont spend your money there!! (go to cefalu, is very clean, beautiful and the beach is also very good and you have a lots of restaurants and shops)

Mondello is a little bit boring sicilian town, with less attractions and do not have this lovely Italian vibe and tasty food ( just a few places) . The beach is fine, but organization not. The sea is wonderful!
A little bit disappointed ,that we have chosen this place on the Sicily for our vacation, Taormania and places around it are the way more beautiful! Recommend to stay there.

I would NOT recommend Mondello simply because it is so dirty!!! There are many other beautiful CLEAN beaches in Sicily and it was extremely disappointing to see this. Even the town is not clean - the streets are not clean and garbage everywhere. Totally NOT worth it!! Go to the southern part of Sicily

Mondello is stuck somewhere at the end of the 80's and is the last place to visit with family and kids. There is nothing to see or to do. The beach is anything but clean. Houses and streets are degraded and no one seems to care. Streets are dirty, piles of trash are everywhere.
Altough there are restaurants, the service and the offer is far behind of anything you get in other places in Italy. I would not visit Mondello again, but if one does want to go, I would advise to spend no more than one afternoon. Beautiful villa on a private residential area of Mondello, super safe to leave the car, offers a private parking in front of the house. The hosts are super friendly and elastic with check-in/check-out times, we even got a free room update :) We loved the surrounding, locasion near the beach and easy drive to Palermo (bus 806). The breakfast was also very fresh and tasty with some salty options too :)
Great hosts with a really nice, clean apartment with great air con which was essential with it being 30+ degrees every day. Close to Mondello and some other beach clubs. 806 bus into Palermo goes regularly. Very handy location. Overall we had a great trip and loved staying here.
Access to a washer was a great plus.
Nice hotel very close to the beach, only 2 min walk. The beach is clean, clear water. There are free private sunbeds with parasol on the beach reserved for guests of Awa Mondello hotel which is nice. Amazing kind staff, very helpful!! Clean room with a nice shower. Our room had a small balcony with a sea view.
great accommodation centrally situated, modern and very clean! Dario was a great Host. Gave lots of very useful information about the area but also other parts of Sicily. We will be coming back to Mondello and to Dario for sure !
