I like the trip to lago di Como, outside the city, not expensive and very beautiful nature. I ate in Naviglio good options and happy hour for drinks and buffet. Also I drunk a coffee in fron of the Duomo, it was perfect in winter and have some relax and sunny moment there

In my opinion Milano is an underrated town comparing to Firenze or Roma, however there are a lot of very interesting places, hidden jewels, far less known than Duomo, Last Supper of Leonardo, Castello Sforzesco, Galleria Vittorio Emmanuel II, Scala or Brera.
There are very remarkable churches, like San Lorenzo Maggiore, Sant' Ambrogio, Sant' Eustorgio, San Satiro, San Maurizio (with frescoes of Bernardino Luini) or museums like Ambrosiana with San Sepolcro and Bagatti Valsacchi.

We spent five days in Milan and could have reduced it a bit - we also did the Bernini Red train from Torino during our visit. Milan has a lot of charm but it’s a bit spread out and the Duomo and Galleries are the highlights. I would recommend purchasing a ticket for the Duomo as the free entry just lets you pass thru the Duomo and not properly enter it.

Milan is great for shopping and getting to Lake Como and Switzerland on the train. Would not stay more than one or two nights maximum. Didn't feel there was enough to do other than seeing main attractions, shop, eat and drink. The city is dull and dirty, smokers everywhere despite the new law and the food was subpar compared with Rome and Venice.

I found it a rather gloomy, characterless city, although I was there in December. People in bars, restaurants etc often rather venal, charging you for things you haven't ordered or consumed.
A few streets in the Brera area best for restaurants. The restaurants in the Galleria either expensive or touristy, although it was nice to sit in Il Camparino with a negroni.
Tram network good, and you just pay with your credit card. No tickets.
Museum of Modern Art interesting, although the Modern Art floor was closed. The public park opposite is nice for a walk.

I have been to some 3 stars hotels which were not as good as the Nettuno, this is a 1 star rated hotel so you cannot expect luxury but my room was basic but clean and in good order. The staff is very helpful and polite. The location is perfect to get to Fiera Milano, just few minutes walk to the Metro and no change to RhoFieramilano station. Also walking distance to Central station and the city centre. You will find few restaurant on the door steps and I would highly recommend Little Italy Restaurant.
The hotel room was really clean also the Bathtub and the toalet.
The girl at the reception was really friendly and helpful with anything we asked.
The location of the hotel was actually the best because only 3 metro stops were the Milano Duomo and the city centre from the hotel by the metro 3, the metro 3 literally was next to the hotel entrance.. The hotel is located also next to the main train station which has actually also the bus stop for the shuttle bus to the Malpensa and the Bergamo airport.
Perfect hotel. Feels like you are at your own appartement in Milano. Everything new and great design. The room is huge. Very calm. Near city centre, underground parking is one minute walk. We enjoyed everything. Girl at reception is very polite and welcoming.
