Marsala is definitely worth visiting . It's so near to Selinute too. Pelligrino's Cantina is worth the tour and so visiting the archealogical sites. Honestly we loved Marsala. It's much nicer than Palermo and much more normal working people and not tourists. The back road to Palermo via the coast and Aeolian Isles, windmills, crazy hills but very calm drivers is definitely worth doing. A definite must!!!

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in Marsala.
My wife and I really enjoyed our stay in Marsala. We would very much recommend spending time there during a trip to Sicily. We toured a local family owned winery, took a day trip to Favignana and Levanzo, and very much enjoyed eating in the local fish market.

Fantastic architecture and of course the famous local wine make this a great place to visit. It is a twenty minute bus ride from the airport, and there is a regular train service to Mazara which is also well worth visiting.

Marsala is a lovely city with much to do. This where Marsala is made and organising a tasting at a winery is reccommended.
They have amazing salt ans for producing an excellent mineral salt.
Because of the high winds, Marsala is the perfect place for kite surfing and there are many schools.
Great seafront and beaches.
Lovely downtown area with inexpensive and interesting menus.
Easy to park compared to other areas of Sicily
I enjoyed it and a stay of 2 to 3 night are recommended.

Hosts we're amazing, especially Giuseppe was a super host. Communication went really well, we had issues finding the place by car and he went above and beyond to come catch us and guiding us thru the city with his bicycle.. the hospitality of the hotel together with the attached wine bar was excellent. Make sure to get a botte of Marsala wine there! The room was roomy and had everything we needed. It's also right in the middle of the city so it was super easy to explore. We highly recommend the place.
Perfect location close to the center of Marsala yet quiet in the night. Grocery store nearby and parking at the street. Really spacious clean apartment with two bedrooms and two bathrooms. Graziella was very welcoming only slight downside was that she doesn't speak much English. However even with my very basic Italian we were able to sort out everything :)
