We loved everything about our stay at Relais I Due Roccoli. The space itself was beautiful- the historical buildings, the immaculate grounds, the artwork - the entire atmosphere was wonderful and the view from our suite was stunning.
On top of the charm of the space, the welcoming and helpful staff made our stay absolutely perfect. We enjoyed unparalleled service from start to finish at both the conscience desk and in the restaurant. They provided us with activity recommendations and even helped book a private wine tasting with transportation to and from a local winery! This is the type of Old World charm and service folks like Hemingway and the Fitzgeralds wrote about, and it made the tail end of our vacation truly relaxing and memorable.
Definitely plan to eat at the restaurant; the service was impeccable with knowledgeable waiters who understood flavor pairings and course pacing, the food was delicious, and the suggested wine pairings were excellent.

If you want a room with a lake view this is the place. The facilities at this hotel were amazing - pity we only had one night. The pool looks stunning and there are lots of areas to explore. Room was clean and bed was very comfortable. The owners and staff were all very nice and helpful. The restaurant serves excellent food. Breakfast is a buffet affair with lots of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries, meats and cheeses and various breads - plenty to pick from.

Beautiful small city, well placed in the middle of the east coast of lake Iseo with a view on one of the small islands. Facilities for everything you nee and the small post office was entertaining (do not expect express, relax and enjoy Italy). It is a great spot to relax, doing water sports, start hiking, cycling, taking a ride on the ferry or doing a day trip by car to Bergamo, Milan, Verona or even Venice. There are plenty restaurants in the nearby area and the two pizzerias in the city provide a good Italian pizza for a reasonable price

Perfect place for active people.
Perfect place for active people. Close to the lake, you can swim, take a boat ride, go to the mountains. We have tried some easier via ferrata. There is couple places to have a great italien food in Marone.

There are so many things to do and see in northern Italy,...
There are so many things to do and see in northern Italy, and Marone proved to be an excellent base from which to be tourists. We spent a day exploring the lago and Monte Isola, both of which deserved much more time. We visited friends at Lake Como, but experienced very bad traffic on our return from Como to Bergamo.

I personally love small towns and getting to know the local areas. There is plenty of area for walking and biking everywhere as well as a boat taxi to take you to the island. Since we were in off season, it was difficult to get accurate taxi information; even their website was wrong. HA. The food, the people, the area itself are just lovely.

And there is so much climbing sites and trekking trails, it's a fantastic place to stay and make sports !

Marone has a great selection of restaurants to suit all budgets with stunning lake views. The feeling of being in Italy with a community is really special and feels less touristy . Great location for exploring towns nearby north and south of the lake. A quaint town with steep hills which are great to burn off the calories. Not many shops but who needs to shop when you should be relaxing and enjoy8 g the break?

It was a gorgeous apartment with a stunning view from the terrace, all bedrooms and dining room. The bathrooms are beautiful and the bedrooms were very comfortable. Train station behind property with great links either direction along the lake. Walking distance to Marone (15mins) where you can catch a ferry to many locations around the lake. Bike hire 3 mins walk away - very reasonably priced. Good cycle routes. Hosts were very accommodating and couldn’t do enough to help. Would definitely return
Peaceful, comfortable, close to the lake, the terrace in great, the view is splendid. The house is on an olive tree plantation, the original Carai olive oil is wonderful. The free beaches of the neibourhood are very close, we liked very much the Tahiti Spiaggia Libera in Marone (3 min. by car).
A Conad grocery is close to the place in Marone. There is a Conad Superstore in Iseo 15 min. by car. Also in Iseo there is a good laundry.
And last but not least Rossellina is very kind and helpful.
The location was excellent. The views were fantastic, nice to have secure parking, and although Marone is small, several bars and restaurants are within walking distance. The studio apartment was well equipped, with a good selection of pans and crockery, along with a kettle, filter coffee machine, and a toaster. Recliner chairs for the deck are provided, and the small outdoor area with our garden studio had a table, chairs, BBQ, and parasol.
Very nice appartment, spacius,clean,excellent equipment. Mariagracia left us a full fridge,cookies,marmelade,coffee,...and so much moore. There were flyers in the appartment what you can do in the area. The village of Marone is so beautifull. We had a wonderfull time,thank you
