Location was good but a car is definitely needed. Nice setting with good view above the lake. Parking is excellent right outside the door of the apartment.

The property is extremely beautiful and the house is very spacious with warm bedrooms and a big bathroom. The Kitchen is lovely, huge, fully equipped, with very beautiful crockery. The house also has a patio space with lots of plants including orange and lemon trees. And also the host lives in the same property and has lot of potted plants around the house too. The surroundings landscape is green and beautiful too. We loved the entire house, it actually felt like home. The house is not easily accessible via public transportation, however if you have a car, it's easy to drive down from Rome. We did not have a car, as we had booked this place unplanned (due to our passport being robbed, we had to stay in Rome for an extra week). We were really lucky to find such a beautiful home and such warm hosts. The hosts Louisa and Daniela are extremely nice, friendly and great hosts. They went out of their way, they picked us and dropped us back to the railway station and also gave us rides to the grocery store. This is the first time I have come across such amazing hosts, our experience was extremely delightful. Thanks a lot for making our experience in "Around Rome" a memorable one.

Francesca had her assistant Diana greet us the day we got there and they treated us as if we were family. Great hospitality! :) Francesca went above and beyond to find us a taxi to get us to and from Rome despite the peak season of visitors.

It's a nice place to stay considering the cost and with good breakfast. It's a good place to stay after a long day travel. The bed was quite comfortable. Aircon was working fine. Except my room's (#210) shower drainage was plugged and water went down extremely slow. The location is not ideal but if you have a car and a GPS, you should be fine. It takes 45 min. from Collosseum to the hotel, 45 min. to the airport (FCO). There's nothing around the area, like shopping malls or attractions.

Perfect nice Italian town where you can have real Italian...
Perfect nice Italian town where you can have real Italian taste as we did not meet any other tourist during our stay. Nice views of surroundings as Marino is located on the hill. Transporting between airport can be challenging but once you will get used to the system, it becomes easy. Rome can be reached just in 30 minutes by train for just Eur 2.20 per person or you can purchase Eur 8 regional Rome day ticket. You can also visit towns nearby - Castel Gandolfo or Albano - both can be reached by train or bus.

When I arrived at B&B Fabiola, I was having a hard time getting around Rome; I barely knew any words and none of the customs. Mrs. Fabiola let me drop my luggage off before my room was ready. She was very welcoming and patient with me as I tried to communicate in Italian. This kindness continued even after my check-out, when she helped get my baggage to my final destination.
Thank you so much Fabiola for your warm welcome to Rome and to Italy! I had a wonderful time at your B&B and hope to visit again in the future!

Local people very hospitable and keen to help if required.
Local people very hospitable and keen to help if required. Town itself very traditional, rustic old buildings steeped in history and charm. Cobbled narrow streets which only add to its beauty. Situated on one of the mountains surrounding Rome so very hilly to walk around in the summer heat. Restaurants very good and pretty much priced equivalent to what you’d pay in Britain. Handy train station for a 35 minute direct train into Rome itself. Did the hop on tour bus around Rome for 22 euros which was perfect for my groups needs. Also train to other local attractions including lake ALbano which was absolutely stunning. The Popes summer residence sits up one of the lakes mountains and well worth a visit to sit and enjoy the sunshine.

It was extremely peaceful - a great refuge after a day out! Easy to get to Rome - 5 minute drive to local rail station.
The rooms are very well-equipped - great shower room and kitchenette.
Francesca is very helpful and friendly, and always available if any help is needed.
The pool was great - and each of the 4 rooms has its own dedicated pool furniture and parasol.
Breakfast was quite simple, however there is an excellent supermarket nearby if required. Good options in room for making coffee, etc.
The bed was very comfortable!
Melo was a really kind and thoughtful host. The whole apartment was clean, pretty, well-equipped, the room was nice, tidy. The neighbourhood is friendly and safe, there are some great restaurants nearby. It's quite close to the airport, by walk it takes about 35 mins. There was airconditioning in the room, which is really a musthave during the italian summer.
The apartment is large, has a kitchen, 1 bathroom, balcony, 1 large bedroom with a double bed and a large living room with 2 sofa beds. The furniture is old but matches the decor. The location is good, being a 15-minute walk from the Marino Laziale train station.
