Great property exceptionally located walking distance to the seaside promenade and beach. Walking distance to numerous restaurants & bars which are located at the Port and township of Marina. Supermarket also in walking distance as well as a local bar/pizzeria. There was also a bike provided if you preferred to cycle around town and seaside spots. Margherita, our host, was so lovely and always contactable if needed.

Marina Di Ragusa was an Italian holiday town so very much catered for Italians and French and we saw no other English visitors however we loved that as it felt like a proper holiday. It was about 1hr 45 mins from the airport of Catania so we hired a car to reach our villa. The town is busy and caters mostly for fish lovers so be ware if you are travelling with fussy non fish eaters! We spent some time exploring the local towns in the surrounding area for dinner which I would recommend as these towns were beautiful. Beach in the Marina was amazing and sea was even more beautiful. Would highly recommend using trip advisor for local restaurants as these helped us immensely in finding something which worked for everyone and helped us gauge prices. Definitely try the local farm restaurant above the town which specialises in Buffalo mozzarella and had an amazing dinner menu.

Lovely little resort with nice marina and sandy beach dotted with various shops, bars, cafes and restaurants and gelateria but you will need a car to get to any of the toursit hotspots like Etna (2 hours) or Siracusa (1+).

The town was a Sicilian and Italian holiday seaside town.

The town was a Sicilian and Italian holiday seaside town. This is great as British tourists as we like to get away and meet locals and interact with the culture we are visiting. Lots of great and friendly cafes and restaurants with amazing food. One particular cafe which became our favourite due to its amazing food, cakes, ice cream gelato, cannoli and coffee was Cafe Roma. Well worth a visit if you go here. Everything is freshly made.

Nice place. Comes alive in the evenings.

Nice place. Comes alive in the evenings. Friday to Sunday gets absolutely overwhelmed with visitors/locals coming to the beach and restaurants. Does not cause an issue other than having to plan ahead and book specific restaurant to guarantee a table. Weekdays much quieter. Good selection of bars, cafes and restaurants. But lots of restaurants/street food bars offering same type of menus.

Marina di Ragusa is a great place to stay for visiting the area of Ragusa. We went to see the old town of Ragusa, which was great to visit, but I would not have liked to stay there. Marina Di Ragusa allows you to visit and stay somewhere which is more relaxed and pleasant. we were delighted we stayed there.

    The beach is wonderful.

The beach is wonderful. Very fine sand, and very shallow water for a long way out. The water temperature in October was perfect. The air temperature was in the mid to high 20s all the time. There's a lovely long promenade, lined with restaurants, which is a great place to stroll along. The central square was always lively, and a great place to sit for a while with a drink and/or icecream. The only thing we were slightly disappointed with was the food. We ate in a few restaurants, and the food was just ok in some of them, which is surprising for Italy. We revisited Marisco as it met our expectations best - the spaghetti "Norma" was excellent. We went for a two-hour boat trip, booked in the marina after we arrived, which was fun. It stops just off "Montalbano's house" and allows for a couple of swims, which was perfect. It's nice to see the coastline from the sea.

Location is great. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast delicious. We used the bikes provided by maison de trazegnies and cycled to punto secca along the designated cycle path which was lovely. And the walk from the hotel to the centre of marina di ragusa was a lovely stroll along the sea front. Highly recommend this hotel.
