The village is a lovely place but it shuts down for autumn.
The village is a lovely place but it shuts down for autumn. When we were there in early November there were no restaurants open, just a couple of cafes during the weekend daytimes. The accommodation has a hob so we cooked for ourselves one night. There were many restaurants open in Riva del Garda, 10k away, but a lot of them were closing for the following six weeks until Christmas.
Don't forget your swimming gear; we went for a swim in the lake one morning.
Also, there is a nice walk towards Rive del Garda but beware; the footpath isn't complete so you cannot walk all the way there.

I loved Limone Sul Garda; it was beautiful! However, be very aware of the terrain. You may reconsider if moving up and down steep hills and steps is difficult. Access to boat ferries was easy and made for a wonderful opportunity to see the beauty of Limone Sul Garda from the water.

The city has a wonderful location by the lake Garda and offers exceptional conditions for bikers and water sports fans. The bike path guarantees unforgettable panoramic views on the beautiful lake. The city provides intimate atmosphere and is recommended when you want to relax and admire the views, especially when your are exhausted after a day spent cycling, swimming or doing antything tiresome. It helps you catch your breath and enjoy the spot, the food and the people.

Very pretty little town.
Very pretty little town. We avoided it during the day as so busy with day trippers coming in on the ferry. By 6pm all day trippers gone and relatively quiet. Typical old Italian town - lots of pretty narrow streets. The best thing about Limone is the restaurants- if you do your research and go to the top rated ones they are excellent - every meal we had was outstanding.

I love Limone sul Garda. It is the 3rd time I have visited. There are some lovely hotels to stay in. I especially love hotel Limone & hotel Mercedes. I am sure there are others though! I have just left on Friday 15th September. The weather was wonderful. I used the ferries a lot e.g Malcesine & Riva del Garda both lovely places to visit. Limone has a lovely old town with plenty of restaurants & bars for every price range & lots of little designer shops-especially shoes. I still have not seen it all. I especially loved the Bufallo restaurant where I ate kangaroo steak-first time ever. It was amazing food! It has a lovely waterfront & there are cycling trails around the area for the more active. I stayed at hotel Splendid as well- a lovely 4* hotel with 2 pools & a gym. I really love this town-its great! :)

I was a bit scared of certain comments from other guests but the reality is the hotel exceeded my expectations! Breakfast is really good, the locations is beautiful and in the middle of nature, the restaurant right in front of the lake is superb. We're not surfers and still loved the hotel and the vibe and overall decoration. We went to the lake to look at people doing windsurf and loved it. Plus the staff is smiley, attentive, and polite.
Nicely newly renovated hotel right on the lake with stunning views. Easy access to Limone sul Garda, with free shuttle provided by the Hotel, or an easy 15 min walk through a safe pedestrian pathway. The hotel staff were very friendly, a special thanks to Lorenzo and Signora Maura, for all their help. Signora Maura was very welcoming and even speaks fluent Greek!! A pleasant surprise! Very nice, cozy, boutique hotel located in the center of Limone Sul Garda. We had a room with a picturesque view of a small square and the lake. Despite being in the center of town, we were protected from city noise by soundproof windows. The staff were very kind and supportive. Good breakfast with unlimited delicious coffee. Good quality Wi-Fi.
The hotel is in a beautiful location, right on the shores of the lake. It has a lovely pool area with sunbeds provided on the beach and in the gardens. The restaurant tables were placed on the beach in the evening, creating a lovely atmosphere for an evening meal. It took us around 10-15 minutes to walk into Limone.
