This hotel was everything we wanted-- a beautiful old building, minimally updated. We loved the high windows facing into the gardens of trees, the murals on the ceiling, the ancient balcony for coffee in the morning. The room had been updated with a minimal modern bathroom in way that preserved the murals, which was very cool. Even in the heat of summer we were comfortable with two fans and the windows open, and waking up to the quiet sounds of breeze and churchbells outside was amazing. A short shady walk from the Rocca Paolina and the historic centre. We passed on coffee and breakfast at the hotel and walked 3 minutes for coffee nearby which was great. But the patio outside is nice for a drink in the evening.

Excellent breakfast, large modern bathroom. The jacuzzi on the terrace was a special treat. Location was near plenty of great restaurants and historic points of interest within walking distance. The staff was friendly and helpful with the baggage and parking the car.
