Lerici is a very nice place at the southern end of the Gulf of La Spezia.
Nice old town and nice hotels along the beach. If you visit try to book a room with a seaview. I like to stay here when i have work in La Spezia, it gives a holiday feeling on the business trip.

Ferry trip to Porto Venere and exploring there was a highlight of our trip.
We walked to San Terenzo and to Tellaro as well - lovely little villages.
Sunset up at Lerici castle is not to be missed either

Lots of area of beach roped off for ‘umbrella farms, but still lots of beach with gently sloping access.
Easy walking on walkway from Lindici to Las Spezia, lots of buses if you dont fancy walking.
Eating out of good to high standard.
Expensive to get to if you fly to Pisa and take a taxi - just under an hour but 150 Euros at least

The town Lerici is great, especially at night time.
The town Lerici is great, especially at night time. You get an authentic Italian feel. There is a great selection of restaurants. Come early if you haven’t reserved a table. Parking is just extremely difficult. Be prepared to drive around for long to find parking or park on the outskirts - planning is essential!

Local restaurant near the church ⛪️ was fabulous!
Wish we could have stayed a couple more nights to explore and experience beaches in Lerice.
Good point from which to explore Cinque Terre by ferry/boat!

An amazing apartment, fully renovated and fully equipped! Super clean, with a stunning view! The whole atmosphere was just divine! Federica, the owner, has been truly the sweetest owner we've encountered in Italy, and very very helpful with everything! She makes you feel like home! We highly recommend it and we will revisit for sure! Bare in mind that you need transportation though, and a simple Vespa is more than enough!
This is our second stay at Doria Park Hotel and it was our great pleasure and luck to be in the same room as the last year. The size of the room might seem not big but its completely sufficient and comfortable. The service is always at the level and the view is breathtaking. The breakfast is rich, delicious and fresh. Wish we could stay more.
Amazing family run hotel. Lovely views over Lerici and a good seafood restaurant. Short walk downhill to Lerici harbour. Pop through the tunnel (end of the harbour) under the castle for a little local beach. Hotel also has its own private parking.
